It's not like they couldn't have just picked up another actor and called him Wedge. I mean, he was a very minor character only known to the true geeks. Whatever badass things he did in the old EU are irrelevant now, even if he was the best pilot in the galaxy after Luke.

He just wasn't important in this new Disney universe, so that's that.

The actor himself was offered a small cameo-like role for Force Awakens so he declined. He might be more interested due tot the success of Force Awakens though

If Poe Dameron gets more fleshed out and essentially is a replacement Wedge I'll be satisfied though

Was at the Ahsoko Tano panel today. Dave Filoni is a top lad. Rogue One was sold out at like 7 AM. Can't be arsed to get up at that time.

Apparently not releasing a trailer today? Security was also tight. Weird when we know what's gonna happen.

Personally thought the shot was too brief. Could've lasted a half second more. Not sure if everyone got that he's in it, but they probably will by next trailer. A lot of people still think it's episode 8.
