Re: World Cup 2018 Qualifiers Discussion
Buffon was still decent last season..couldn't speak on him this season as I've not watched him but there's no shame if he is done. Been on top for decades.
Good luck to Sweden but we need Italy in the WC. No excuses for second leg.

Buffon is still a top 5 goalie at 39. He isn't the problem. Ventura is the problem. This team has more talent than Conte's Italy.

To all the blind haters in the posts above, what did Buffon do wrong in this game? He had nothing to do on the goal, the shot deflected in the opposite direction from De Rossi.
He was like one of the two that didn't really mess up.

10 years ago, Buffon would've predicted De Rossi's deflection and caught the ball with his butt cheeks, he then would have released the ball to himself and delivered an inch perfect pass to Luca Toni who would've subsequently missed, but win a corner in doing so. Italy would score from the subsequent corner.
Pity what time does

a GL XI could beat 3/4's of the teams
England will still find a way to get knocked out in the second round by someone

Lahoz continued his fine La Liga form by literally not giving anyone clear cut penalties. Absolute gem of a ref he is.

Absolutely, he is the closest you can get to an English referee. There was alot of moaning by both teams and he ignored it all. Great reff

I also like the ref who looks like Oscar Isaac. Other than that. They're all mostly horrible.
