I am not one of those who think the manager is responsible for 99% of the teams result-I can only assume this comes from a generation of Football Manager playing fans who think you can just change the result by sitting at your computer and making a formation change-but the Peru manager maybe did get it wrong.

Chile were leading 1-0 and Peru was looking to make a striker for defender change. Within a minute Peru scored and the manager still went ahead a minute later to make that change. Vidal then scored. Now would they have scored anyhow? Maybe, but the manager probably should have made a more "safe" substitution.

Anyhow, the table looks a lot different now, then it did a few months ago.
