Burnley has taken just two points from their last six league games. However, one of those came against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. It's still unclear if Sakho, Ibe or Gerrard would be fit for the game. Also, Rodgers have made some incredible/brave team selections in last few games (benching Sturridge against City, starting Balotelli against Besiktas). However, as things stands at the moment, my prediction would be


While I think it's a shame to drop Lallana (who has offered everything aside goals in last few games) in favor of Raheem or Sturridge (who, in all fairness, hasn't offered anything more than Lallana), I guess we have to live with it. Also, Balotelli (with his neat footwork & close control) can be effective against a team that is expected to pack the box.

Burnley played tactically perhaps the best game I've seen anyone play against us this season when we visited their ground (but we still won, yay). Will be interesting to see how this one goes - although it being at Anfield I'm not expecting anything as difficult as at Turf Moor.

On paper it doesn't get much easier than this, but 'on paper' rarely matters in the Prem, just look at the result against Leicester at Anfield - on paper even easier a game than this - or look at the point Burnley got from Stamford Bridge. But at this point, in the midst of the top-4 race, it really is crucial to make no mistakes here and take the three points.

If Sakho is fit, I'd give Can a rest, he's been playing every game for some time now. I would also rest Sterling and maybe start him up front against Blackburn in the weekend, then.

Ibe is out for 3-4 weeks.

Any team will do, So much depth in the attacking midfielders area.

Can in for Lovren is also fine, But i want Lovren to build on these performances, He's 20m worth.

They are very good tactically, But i expect us to win this with decent ease. Ings is the only player we need to be careful of, The guy is like a richer version Fletcher.

I would start Skrtel here and rest him against Blackburn or do the opposite. Not sure but start him against Blackburn if they have some striker who fits into only Skrtels pocket.

Other than that Sterling on for Markovic and Balo-Coutinho behind Sturridge

I think Studge should get a start, he really needs to find form. Keep Lovren in so he can continue to build on his confidence...he's been playing well lately and was great against City. Is Sakho fit again? If he is I'd roll this:

I would like to see Lovren start. He started in last two games and to be honest, been quite decent too. That would also allow Emre to get some breather too.

Not sure why everone is dropping Moreno....
He was for example better than Markovic yesterday.

Anyways, Burnley are a good team. especially up theior game in big games agaisnt top teams. its' their form against teams around them that have them in relegation zone. Their pressing is also very intense, so we have to play our best ball playing CBs there. which means Can has to play in CB. and Sakho too if he's fit.

Sterling played 120 mins in Istanbul and ran his bollocks off yesterday....have him on the bench for this one and keep him rested.

I was actually just finding a way to keep Can in if Sakho is fit and making room for Lovren. Moreno has played a lot comparatively. I think he's been quite good...nothing against him at all.

We should be okay with Lovren against Burnley and Blackburn. Hopefully Sakho is back for the Liberty trip.

Lovren was our best defender against City. If he can keep form I'm fine with him against anyone.
