Liverpool expect Oussama Assaidi’s £4.7m move to Al-Ahli to go through this week. The Moroccan was recalled from a season-long loan from Stoke City last week, and will join the Dubai-based club on a permanent basis in the next few days.

That would be very nice for us. That'd be a fine fee to get for Assaidi. He's obviously too good to be playing in the UAE league, but obviously no one cares about that.

Liverpool Football Club can confirm Oussama Assaidi has left on a permanent transfer to join Al Ahli Club.

The Moroccan winger ended a loan spell with Stoke City early in order to complete the switch to Dubai.

Assaidi moved to Anfield from Heerenveen in the summer of 2012 and made 12 appearances for the Reds.

The 26-year-old originally joined Stoke on a season-long loan deal in September 2013 and returned to the Britannia Stadium at the start of the current campaign before signing for Al Ahli.

So we've sold Assaidi for profit.

We are getting Origi back, Danny's back. Look for a good GK and this is a great window(srs). Look for Stevie's and Lucas's replacement in the summer.

I don't really think any of the Keepers (aside Stegen) will be an improvement over Mignolet.

Also, I don't think it's safe to depend on Sturridge (injury-prone), Origi (unproven) and Balotelli, Borini & Lambert (all quiet inadequate in someway or other) even for what remains of the season.

Has it really been confirmed that we are getting Origi?

I agree that our priority should be trying to lock up a GK or getting one on loan with an option to buy. Barcelona are not going to give us ter Stegen though, and while the rumoured price of 2m for Neto seems enticing, even if just for competition, is he really an upgrade on Mignolet? I don't know. It would be worth a punt though to see if he could fit in here, and then that way we know whether we really need to look hard for a top keeper in the summer.

But yeah, I would be ok with Origi and a keeper coming in now, and then grabbing a few TOP CLASS players in the summer. We don't need quantity anymore -- we need proven players as Rodgers has said. Hopefully they allow him to go out and get some this year.

Yeah saw him all 3 games at the world cup. He was meh. Conceded most goals out of any goalkeeper in the groups.

Though his opposition were tough he was still very very average.

Shouldn't even be looking at a keeper to be honest. Maybe a back up for if Brad Jones leaves, but we just really need a coach... Neuer would look bad if you have Rodgers coaching our defence. lmao

I would really like a new keeper, there usually are some gems out there that are just undiscovered. Like Keylor Navas, he was quietly going about his business at Levante and then the World Cup happened and now he plays for Real Madrid. However, I have very little faith in our transfer business and scouting, so I don't know if we're going to spot such gems.

Btw, if City are going to sell Jovetic, why arent we after him. I know he is injury prone but may be BR will manage him and Sturridge to be not injured at the same time during the season hmm
