Re: Isco
I wouldn’t be surprised if Isco asks to leave.
Let’s look at facts. Isco is viewed by Zidane as the 12th player, somedays even 13th after Asensio. If BBC is healthy, Isco is out. He has only got a lot of starts, last year and this year with Bale frequently injured.
Mean while the entire seleccion is run by Isco. Lopetequi basically building team around this talent.
And if we look at next season, they are going to bring in a winger and striker, so where does that leave Isco?
Meanwhile a much inferior player, Coutinho fetched a 150M price tag. How much is Isco worth, and Where else would a 150+M have to ride the bench?
I expect Isco to stand on his head this summer propelling Spain far into this World Cup. They may (or may not) win, but they are definitely in top 5 re favourites.
Given that, and the prospect of returning to Zidane’s bench, will likely make him demand to go! Pep being the likely destination.
And if Asensio takes a good look at his prospects, he also would be wise to follow Isco.
It’s really a shame, here Flo has been buying up Spanish talents and yet he has this Frenchman in charge who has yet to show any confidence in any Spaniard, preferring instead to place his loyalty in his useless countryman!

Re: Isco
let's keep it fair, i get the sentiments, but isco had a chance to cause a huge debate earlier on this season, when bale was hurt (as usual), and he didn't seize the chance. at one point he played really really terrible. now i agree even if he did seize the opportunity, (which he kinda did last year, he played really well) in all likelihood he'd still be relegated to the bench when everyone's fit
the fact our forward line isn't dynamic also hinders him, neither bale nor cr are central strikers, and isco is not a false 9 so that poses problems, he isn't a right winger neither. the main argument he has going for him is that he hasn't been as poor as benzema, and that unfortunately isn't enough to warrant a place
btw more than half of the spanish "talent" flo has invested in are garbage, let's not act like he's been getting the best of the best. only asensio (who understandably is developing), isco ,carvajal and morata (who was sold to fund a striker we ended up never signing )

Re: Isco
if we are to sell him (and his comments seem like a come and get me plea), i trust we can get some cool chunk of cash for him as we enter the transfer window. i also think his comments was intent on putting some sort of pressure on lopetegui- yes we know he is integral to lopetegui's squad, but at times players get worried when they're on the bench at their clubs, that it leaves their world cup hopes in jeopardy (even if the coach confirms their importance); i think this public show of affection/disdain, is to make sure his national team coach doesn't get carried away by what's happening at our club

not really, if the plan in the summer is to have yet another expensive acronymed trio, and the midfield undergoes little change, he'll still not have a spot. at this stage its dependent on who the coach will be and the club. if we are indeed looking to spend in the summer, flo will be willing to listen to eye popping offers

And that is the reason why Zidane has been winning everything left and right while Spain will not win anything.

Zidane started Isco in the UCL final and he was also instrumental in the La Liga win last year. Hans pls, not like this.

Re: Isco
he still had a good game, created a chance on goal for CR, shot on the bar, worked a lot in midfield to defend. a bit weird you want to single him out for this game lol

6.9 rating on whoscored which tells me exactly how I viewed it. Decent game by Isco, can't complain.

Re: Isco
Not in the squad to face Barcelona, despite being back from injury and training with his teammates.
I see an EPL move on the horizon, with him becoming a legend in English football like David Silva did. In fact he is the perfect heir to him at City.
