Sociedad are leading 3-0 over Osasuna. Ødegaard is having a brilliant first half, and just scored a cheeky freekick

hoping this kid keeps it up, figured he would be the usual hyped prospect signed by a big team too early and amount to little but seems like he's gonna prove the doubters wrong years later
can't wait to sign him

Scott McTominay would break his leg attempted that freekick

Pogba for Odegaard. You get a free Thimmy as well.

Pretty certain that's the extent of your knowledge when it comes to anyone not named Lionel Messi.

I’m pretty sure he’ll never stop amusing himself with that gimmick. Although, it was never funny to begin with. Reminds me of Firenze’s Ole out.

Re: Martin Ødegaard - Welcome to Arsenal
He'll be the best attacking midfielder of his generation.
Thimmy and I were one of the original hypemen two seasons ago. Glad to see he's making strides in his development. What are the chances he overtakes Isco's spot next season (as he should)?

Re: Martin Ødegaard - Welcome to Arsenal
Pep would be happy to have Isco. He will turn him into the next David Silva.

Honestly, I cannot predict if Zidane would use him or even rates him highly but he could take both Modric and Isco spot all now in my honest opinion and I love both of them equally.

Re: Martin Ødegaard - Welcome to Arsenal
the way Z loves to play with 4 midfielders he might use him with Valverde, Casemiro and Pogba behind Hazard and Benzema / Jovic / a new striker
Casemiro - Valverde
Odegaard - Pogba
Benzema - Hazard

Isco is far too much of a ballhogger to ever be similarly dangerous as Silva

Re: Martin Ødegaard - Welcome to Arsenal
That was an exaggeration. But then again Isco isn't shit either.
But most players improve massively under Guardiola's systematic football. I can give you plenty of examples of this: Sterling, Bernardo Silva, KDB, Fernandinho, Alaba, Kimmich, Abidal, Busquets, Pedro etc.

Re: Martin Ødegaard - Welcome to Arsenal
I'm not going to argue with you about Pep being a great coach under whom players thrive.
But, Alaba was just as great before Pep came, of course. Sterling was the most highly rated young English attacker. Bernardo was integrl performer of that Monaco Cl storming side that beat Pep's City.
De Bruyne was every bit as good 5 years ago at Wolfsburg as he is now. Etc.
Pep hasn't really worked wonders with relative or even absolute scrubs turned into world class, or at least top performing, players like Klopp does with guys like Milner, Lovren, Matip, Henderson, Oxlade-Chamberlin, Origi.
Even if that's mostly because he's never been in a position/at a club where he needed to.
Isco would perform well under Pep, but he would neither lift his level much, become much more of an asset for his team, nor would he become a much greater player.

Re: Martin Ødegaard - Welcome to Arsenal
I agree that those three names were great players prior to Pep but I think he improved them to world class level. Alaba was a very good LB but he just became much more versatile under Guardiola, Sterling was highly rated but his numbers under Pep went to insane level good. KDB, I still prefer him under Guardiola than any of the previous managers but that might be just a taste thing.
Re: Martin Ødegaard - Welcome to Arsenal
lol @guardiola making players much better than they are. big lol
he spends hundreds of millions building his team with world class talents in the first place

Re: Martin Ødegaard - Welcome to Arsenal
Anyway, I'd wish Pep would actually sign Isco so we can see what happens.
Honestly, I believe Isco would be a downgrade to every single of the players Pep utilizes as 8s now, both Silvas, De Bruyne, Gündogan too, even Foden probably.

You must be new here. Zidane made Fede Valverde the player he is. When Vinicius and Rodrygo come good, they will be Zidane products as well. I’m sure Imanol Alguacil would’ve been credited for Ødegaard’s performance level as well, if he wasn’t a no name. No names don’t have that perk in their skill tree. Outfield players don’t have that perk in their skill tree

You're right, Zidane might actually use Odegaard as a B2b because he can run a bit. Never mind...
