Re: EURO 2016 qualifiers
I guess he just had a stronger will than Selke and Orban then. And yeah, I'll keep my fingers crossed that it's nothing serious!

Re: EURO 2016 qualifiers
This is way too close... We should've ended this game in the first half.

Re: EURO 2016 qualifiers
Once upon a time Winston Chruchill, applauding the Greek effort in the war said, "Greeks don't fight like heroes, heroes fight like Greeks".
Now they are bankrupt, and their national team are what, dead last in their easy group and losing to a country with a population of sub 50k. How things change.

Re: EURO 2016 qualifiers
I'm shocked at how bad Greece have been in qualifying. Played six, won zero, bottom of the group with only two points, below the Faroe Islands and Finland.
Northern Ireland second in the group after their draw against Romania. They've got a very good chance of claiming an automatic spot.
So potentially England, Wales and N.Ireland could all qualify automatically, and Scotland could get in the play-offs. British Isles taking over.

And a horrible one at that, one of the worst taken pens I've seen. Luckily he's so arrogant it doesn't affect him. Bendtner was mad though, said he would've scored
Love our teams friendly banter.
That miss almost cost us, we should've finished them in the 1st.

England team to play Slovenia:
Hart; Jones, Smalling, Cahill, Gibbs; Wilshere, Henderson, Delph; Townsend, Rooney, Sterling
Winning the Euros with that team

I don't understand Roy's fascination with Delph and Townsend.

Re: EURO 2016 qualifiers
If Welbeck and Chamberlain were fit Townsend would be nowhere near the first team. Though why Lallana is not starting instead I've no idea.
I'd rather see a diamond at this point; Lallana or Sterling at 10, Walcott or Austin up with Rooney.

Wilshere gets tightly marked by every single team.

Cahill is awful without Terry.
Rather see Jones-Smalling at CB.

LMMAAAOOOO that's his goal? Standing 7 yards offside and an opponent player hapens to head the ball to his feet?

Re: EURO 2016 qualifiers
Awful decision by the backline to try and hold the line. They had one runner in behind who was never going to out-pace anyone. The moment Cahill stops and lets the runner past him he's got no chance at catching him up. Smalling ball-watching as well.
All came from a terrible thrown in by Jones.
This is the problem England will have with Wilshere at DM. He's the only midfielder in that three who can hurt the opposition with his passing. Henderson and Delph aren't going to do much against a compact defence, and there's not enough threat from the flanks and full-backs to compensate for that.
