Because Bravo is an average goalkeeper at best and always has been. MAtS is the most talented GK talent in the world alongside Courtois (but more complete than Courtois as a sweeper and passer).
No player has committed more errors that have led directly to a La Liga goal in the last 4 seasons than Bravo (10).[OPTA]
His preseason blunder against Napoli was a typical Bravo move.
But the clean sheets seem to work. Already seen many Barca fans saying he deserves to stay in goal. Based on what? 2 saves?
MaTS isn't in the same league as Courtois. Courtois is a top 5 GK in the world, MaTS is decent, but not at that level.

I'm not saying he's rated 5 or 4th in my mind. It's more of a way of saying he's one of the best.
I personally rate Neuer first, then Cech, then Courtois.
But that is something I don't really want to get into, Point is, MaTS is not on the same level as Courtois.

Courtois is amazingly overrated. Very incomplete GK who sucks on one on ones and is beaten fairly often from long saveable shots.

Mats on thesame level as Courtois? Lol, whats next ochoa better than neuer? At this point, courtois is easily a top 3 keeper right now. Not saying mats isn't good, heck, he might even have a higher celien but, c'mon now..

Re: Barcelona Champion League 2014/2015 Discussion
Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Javier Pastore believes the Ligue 1 champions have the quality to compete with giants such as Barcelona and Real Madrid in the Champions League.
PSG made it to the quarter-finals of European club football's elite competition in 2012-13 and 2013-14, with Barca and Chelsea respectively proving too strong, yet Pastore thinks they have what it takes to go all the way.
"I believe PSG are at the same level as Barcelona and Real Madrid," Pastore told El Mundo.
"The only way to show that you are among Europe's best is by making it to the Champions League final. We still need to take that one small step, but it's the club's goal [to enjoy success in Europe.]
"However, you can talk about things like this, but you have to show to it on the pitch in the end. You have to prove during games that you can compete with these teams.
"Barcelona should be a point of reference for PSG. Everybody tried to play like them when they won it all under Pep Guardiola. This wasn't easy, but they are an example of how the game should be played for me."
The Argentine then went on to praise Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but insisted that PSG are not a one-man team.
"Ibrahimovic is a player who is very important to us and for the way we play," he added. "But we also played some good games and won without him. We don't rely on just one player. We have several world-class players and count on all of them."
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Blanc on Messi
"Everyone knows Messi. Why? Because he takes the ball and dribbles past four players, but he's also able to bring others into play. He's meant to be a center-forward but he's never there most of the time," Blanc said. "He drifts out of position so he can get on the ball as much as possible and hurt you even more. We're going to have to close down the space around him, because as soon as he gets the ball and accelerates he's so dangerous."

How does anyone here truly know how good MATS is? How do we know he is or is not as good as Courtois?
Excuse me if your religiously watched Borussia Mönchengladbach though.

Re: Barcelona Champion League 2014/2015 Discussion
Well, that escalated quickly. My initial post wasn't about MAtS vs. Courtois. I literally just said MAtS is the biggest goalkeeping talent alongside Courtois, which means I rate him as a top 2 GK talent. Nothing about who is better right now, nothing about MAtS vs. Courtois. In fact my acknowledgement of Courtois in that context should be understood as a compliment to him. Not everyone rates him equally highly, playing behind the fiercest defensive team in Europe and all.

I didn't say he is or he is not better.
I said Curtois has been tested at a higher level than Mats

I know, but saying "he isnt in the same league" is basically saying he isnt as good. I get what your getting at, but I wouldnt word it that way.
Though my post wasnt directed at you specifically at all.

Re: Barcelona Champion League 2014/2015 Discussion
Well, MAtS has been touted as *the* big German GK talent (together with Bernd Leno) since he first showed up at BMG. I remember how he was thrown into the deep end of the pond at BMG with 18 years after he only played 3rd division before.
From the first day, he convinced everybody and while BMG was bottom of the table when his predecessor was ousted, he then only allowed an average of 0.5 goals/match and BMG stayed in the Bundesliga after all.
Practically all experts in Germany agreed that MAtS was actually more talented than Manuel Neuer and better than him at the same age and he did develop nicely at BMG.
The drawback was when he was called up to the German NT and pretty much messed up there. This was probably why Ron-Robert Zieler (who didn't really look better in the league than MAtS) was prefered to him for the NT, although MAtS is believed to have a higher ceiling.
MAtS *is* a very bright young goalie, and you can be sure that his mistakes today are not general problem, but lack of coordination with the defense as he was never allowed to properly gel with them. Luis Enrique is doing his goalies quite a disservice with his rotation as MAtS will never really look good when he is only allowed to play every 6 or 7 matches and that in the CL.

"If Lionel Messi doesn't ask for my shirt, I won't ask for his," Klassen told reporters on the eve of Tuesday's Group F showdown.
"He's a great football player, but he isn't an example for me.
"And Barcelona are not one of my favourite clubs. Ajax have always been my No.1."

Considering will have the clasico right after, which will be keeping our eye on and City with the current result may get some confidence, but I think we should win however still I'll wait till we do.

against Eibar
Mathieu AND Mascherano are on 4 yellow cards.. one more and they miss the classico
Alves and Alba are suspended
that is a bit of a concern for me.
before we can think about el classico or city we should take things one step at a time.

Bartra got this no worries.
I agree tho not a good time to lose all your defensive players.

biggest issue is our DM spot
if mascherano gets a yellow we're playing the trio of
xavi iniesta rakitic against madrid.

How are both Alves and Alba suspended all the way to the Clasico?
Also last I read Busquets should be good to go to play by el Clasico
