Its funny when people talk about footballers and money, fact is, normal people will most likely not approve if boys kicking a ball gets more a year than others do a lifetime of hard boring work.

Sneijder is one of the best playmakers of the game, how can he possibly come anywhere near cheap?

Is Brad Pitt movies worth the 20 million he receives for each movie? I don't think so but that's what his agent able to negotiate and his reputation as a "great actor" demands.

Now for Sneijder, he have had one epic season which followed by a decent season at Inter. However, his reputation and talent "demands" that he is worth that amount in salary. If Man Utd is willing to part with that money every week and still could maintain a "healthy" balance, I say why not.

There's no doubt Sneijder is a great player, but he's far from World Class. He's only ever had one great season afterall and that doesn't give him the right for 200k wages.

uh .. his first season at real madrid was great.. he was instantly loved and appreciated..after that diaby injured him in a pre season friendly and he was played out of position and on the bench in his second season at madrid.. fater that his outstanding season with inter.. not to mention some great years with ajax.. plus his great performances both in the euros and the wc .. definitely world class imo

My opinion of Sneijder is this; Great player that from a technical standpoint is extremely well rounded. He can be a absolute key player for a side, infact he often serves to make his teamates look that little bit better.\

But i'm not sure he has the kind of propensity towards changing a game on his own to justify that kind of money. That's just my opinion.

Lol, Rooney has had more than one good season, just because his goal scoring record suggests otherwise doesn't mean its true.
