Re: The 2014/15 Calcio Saga
If Higuain scores against Sampdoria he'll match Maradona's club record of registering in six straight league games. Not bad, having failed to score in his first seven.

He scores a goal from open play every 10 years, and of course he does it in the 93rd minute of a derby

Or you could be Roma. Accumulate almost 90 points with the best defense in Europe and still not win a title.

Torino is worse mate. At least Roma can having some joy during the year , as the derbies.
Torino didn't score in a derby since 2002 , now they score , they have a man more when just 10 minutes miss and they are able to lose when just 3 seconds missed.
They don't have even the derby as consolation , but besides it worsens everytime their mood

Isn't it a bit early for that conclusion? ( If you are talking about this season).
IF you are talking about the past season lol we fully deserved it, we had a great season ( except for the *bleep* up in UCL )

Referring to last season. Juve indeed deserved that title, but given the way Roma played, the title would've been ours in any other season. It's just unheard to rack up that many points and goals while conceding the fewest on the continent and still not win anything. Especially for a side that got there after finishing 6th and losing the Coppa in the final to their city rivals? That was a rough season emotionally for Romanisti.

Oh I get you, but no need to feel down about it when you were simply in running with a team which broke records, there's simply no shame. Iwould have felt sad too but.... Once in a while a season like that occurs

Made my peace with it, as have most of us. It's still downright astonishing from a Juve perspective and just bittersweet from a Roma one though.

Re: The 2014/15 Calcio Saga
A good reason why Juventus won Serie A last season is because they went out of the CL very early on . Otherwise it would have taken it's toll in the 2nd half of the season and i think it's safe to say Roma would have probably won it. When they got eliminated instead of Galata , it meant Serie A would become something more than priority n1 .
I remember myself talking about this with my cousin who's a Juventus fan , told him right after the game ended not to be so sad since they just won Serie A
We can't say for sure obviously , just guess.. But it's normal when things like that occur , most always there's a dip in league form. Roma would have taken advantage of it and their own slumps would have mattered a bit less than what they did .
Anyway , Roma will probably win it this season anyway .
Juventus won't resist the urge going for the CL when they get to play in the 16 once again. If by any chance they go through , it will continue into spring.. It will most probably take it's toll on them this time around , especially if Allegri persists pushing on for both , something which i bet anything he will if he gets past the 16.
