Does Chile have a genuine chance in this?

Brazil vs. Chile VS Colombia vs. Uruguay
DAT SA Bracket
shame that only one of these teams will make the Semis. I would have fancied at least 2 of them !

Chile has a chance, Neymar is one of the few Brazilian strength.
I hope Chile is going to beat Brazil but to be honest I think Brazil will wake up and will get better, they'll get huge support and will win it.

No offense to Chile GL fans, but historically, they are one of our punchbags, I think they will be psychologically hit by our history, specially in WCs
Now that Fernandinho will start and we will actually have a creative force, we will start rolling in this WC.Neymar just has to keep it up.

Should be a great game i do expect Brazil to do it though.
Chile have been great so far but if they give Neymar and others the type of space to run into they gave Spain at times he'll punish them.

yeah, this is such a shame. If at least Uruguay had finished 1st instead of Costa Rica we could have semi finals with 3 SA teams.it sucks that we will have a SA war period until the semi vs Germany/FranceNatalie Portman wrote:Brazil vs. Chile VS Colombia vs. Uruguay

Please confirm that Fernandinho will start. What are the Brazilian media saying?

I think Vidal can pretty much single handidly dominate the central midfield battle, and will. I think Chile take this in a close 2-1.

@M99 No need to have confirmation, he is obviously going to start after yesterday lol
and lel at Vidal dominating our midfield, he can't dominate Australia.

Looks like in addition to Brazil-Chile we will also have Colombia-Uruguay. Meh.
And then after that we might get Brazil-Uruguay again

Arganguiz and Diaz dominated Spain(not even sure if Chile actually dominated the midfield, but whatever)Vidal was just roaming around.Even Sanchez stole more balls than him in that game. There are at least 3 Chilean players im more worried about than Vidal.Great Leader Sprucenuce wrote:He did dominate Spain though.

Vidal has been utter shit so far. If you think he's dominated anything in this WC then you're delusional.
It could be form or injury although I think it's a bit of both.
That said, Chile has got plenty of dangerous players and play well as a team so they obviously have a shot.

Vidal is out of form because of his injury probably, but he was still pretty decent vs Spain. I'm not expecting too much from him at this WC, he hasn't played since the end of April if I recall well (injury + rest + the operation).
I'm supporting Chile anyways, but Sampaoli shouldn't put too much pressure on him.
Brazil will go through, even though their performances weren't 10 star so far (Neymar did surprise me a bit anyways)

I thought he was great against Spain personally although its true he does still lack fitness.
Also i don't think he will dominate i was just saying that IMO he was thoroughly on top against Spain.

Have a feeling Sanchez will target Alves in this game.

Most likely Vargas who will try and exploit Alves.
Either way Alves is gonna have his hands full.

Alexis got so much freedom because he holds so much importance for Chile plus their formation is so free flowing he pops up all over the place, midfield, in the box or on the right. I think Marcelo will face Mena more directly.
Vargas does mostly stay in his position though so Dani Alves will be up against him I expect.

The key thing to look for is Sanchez popping up in between Silva-Luiz and Gustavo with Vargas looking to run in behind Alves.
They will try to do that a lot IMO.

They will get trashed by Fernandinho and T. Silva headers from set pieces. Then Neymar will seal the affair on a counterattack when Chile chase the game.
