Re: Diego Costa
-"It is different for every striker who comes here."
"Every striker has their way of playing and their strengths and a different team behind them. That is very important. If you do not have the team behind you then you can’t do things on your own. It all depends on the team. It could be because of that."
"I try to play in the best manner, and hopefully things will continue like this. But there will be a moment when I cannot score - that is football."

Chelsea's hat-trick hero Diego Costa gives stark warning to Premier League defenders:
Diego Costa cracked in his first hat-trick in English football then warned the League's defenders: "If you want a battle, I am a fighter", before vowing to continue hard work

"The central defenders in England are very strong. But if I have to have a physical battle, then I can fight. If I have to play with quality, I can do that too."
"It's not easy. But things are going well for the team and I am trying to do my best. There are differences to the game in Spain but I am adapting very well. What helps is that there are other new players also adapting."
"The key is the group we have. It is like a family. The squad and all the people around the team are united in our cause. We are working together and things are going very well."
"The coach is well aware of the strengths of the players he has. He designs the style and he plans games to suit his players."
"A striker has to score and I am happy that I have a little place in history with this record. I have to keep working to keep this up."

Re: Diego Costa
I think I'd like to see him rested against Schalke. Remy starting would do the job.

Re: Diego Costa
Tbh, me too. He's always there to come off the bench if need be, and with the trainwreck Schalke are in especially at the back, Rémy will be more than sufficient.
Would also give him (Loic) a good boost of confidence after his debut goal yesterday starting immediately after it and in Europe no less.

Diego Costa escapes punishment for lashing out at Swansea's Gylfi Sigurðsson:
Diego Costa has escaped punishment for lashing out at Gylfi Sigurðsson in Chelsea's win against Swansea after FA officials explained that Costa's actions are not considered to warrant more than a yellow card and would therefore not be re-examined under the retrospective action regulations

Re: Diego Costa
Got away with it this time but might not be so lucky the next. Really needs to cut down on this crap. There's been some sort of incident in just about every game we've played so far and he'll not have the kind of luck to avoid it being noticed or retrospectively reviewed for the entire season.

So much the kind of thing we were missing last season.
Once again true this past weekend.

Diego Costa is already on track to become a Chelsea legend, Blues hero Pat Nevin believes:
Chelsea cult hero Pat Nevin believes new striker Diego Costa has what it takes to become a legend at the London club

"I don't use the word legend often, some bandy it about with abandon, but in many ways it should be kept sacred, not treated lightly."
"Legends are the likes of Osgood, Zola, Terry, Drogba and Lampard. There are many, but not that many and to enter that pantheon it takes years' worth of quality at the very highest level, so be restrained."
"It can take players years into their time at a club to be considered in that bracket and that is the way it should be."
"Even so, it seems clear to me that our new striker has everything to grab a place in our house for historical heroes. To do so, he has to stay at the club, stay fit and stay hungry, and have long periods of good form."
"It is a lot to ask, but now and again we get a feeling for a player at Stamford Bridge and already he feels like family, indeed he feels like a favoured son. Long may it continue."

Re: Diego Costa
If there's one negative that's come from his phenomenal start, it's all the tedious overreacting that it's caused.

Re: Diego Costa
When Diego fails to open the scoring it's gonna be like that time with Carlo where we started the new season banging in 4+ goals and everyone said we were in a crisis cos we beat Stoke by a measly 2 goal margin
