2014 Summer Transfer Rumours Mk. III - Page 36 Empty Re: 2014 Summer Transfer Rumours Mk. III

Post by Onyx Fri May 30, 2014 7:07 pm

The agent of Real Madrid goalkeeper Diego Lopez insists there is nothing in the speculation linking him with a summer switch to Napoli.

Pepe Reina was Napoli's first-choice goalkeeper throughout their Serie A campaign but his future remains uncertain after his season-long loan spell from Liverpool came to an end.

Reports have suggested that Lopez, who featured 37 times in all competitions for Madrid last season, was being lined up as a possible replacement for Reina should he not make a return to the Stadio San Paolo.

Lopez has another three years remaining on his current deal at the Santiago Bernabeu and agent Manuel Garcia Quilon says that the Spaniard is not planning an early exit.

"I'm surprised to hear these rumours, they are absolutely baseless," he told Tuttonapoli.net.

"Diego Lopez won't move from Real Madrid, he has no intention of leaving the club. This is the clearest idea of the player and of his family."

again Nick... their issue is Provence.  People in Provence hate Parisians and PSG.  Heck, i have to hear how Paris has destroyed France on a daily basis now with the bad economy Laughing Since l'Equipe has become a PSG-centric media, they've been cut off from info in all Provence teams...  so the reliability of info for teams in the Provence region is suspect now.  I only pay attention to certain teams' info with them, namely PSG, Lyon and Lille as the revelant ones.  Other than that, i read other media.

2014 Summer Transfer Rumours Mk. III - Page 36 Empty Re: 2014 Summer Transfer Rumours Mk. III

Post by Nishankly Fri May 30, 2014 7:33 pm

A lifelong Liverpool fan, Rickie Lambert was a local lad from Kirkby and joined the Liverpool Youth Academy. He was released as a 15 year old, which came as a shock for him.
After an unsuccessful 3 years at Blackpool without a contract, Lambert had to work part time in a beetroot factory and play part time at local club Macclesfield. The rejections hit Lambert hard, and the young striker experienced a dark time.

However his never-say-die attitude led to a career changing move to Stockport, where he established himself as a lower league player. When his talent started to surface, Rochdale scouts swooped him, where the 23 year old formed a devastating partnership with Grant Holt. The pair scored 27 goals in 24 appearances. It got the striker noticed and he moved to Bristol Rovers for for £200,000. As he rose to coverage, he became more popular which led to the famous £1million signing by Southampton.
After initial stutter, Lambert scored 30 goals in his first league season winning the Football League Trophy. He followed it by 21 goals the next season, winning the FL Trophy again and also finishing second in League 1, securing promotion to Championship. Lambert scored 27 goals in the Championship, finishing second with Southampton and fired them back to the Premier League. Lambert gained worldwide attention, and was labelled as a player to watch for the 2012/13 season.

He was handed his international debut where he scored the winner against Scotland with his first touch of the ball. He followed it with another international goal at Moldova and a key role in the draw 0-0 draw vs Ukraine.

Lambert scored 15 goals on his first Premier League campaign and 14 in the second, good enough to get on the plane to Brazil. Now his exploits have attracted other Premier League clubs.
Rickie Lambert will now join his former employers Liverpool in the 2014/15 campaign after he signs a contract with the club he supported as a boy.

What a truly inspirational story, a reject who fought his way back from the lowest of leagues to the pinnacle of the sport.

Lequipe reporting that Blanc promised Cavani he would play a 442 from now on, is just as bad as them whiffing on a transfer story sports.

Is playing a 3-5-2 really so unrealistic for Blanc? Makes sense with the signing of Luiz, Motta-Verrati-Matuidi remain in midfield while Cavani gets his wish of playing centrally with less defensive responsibilities.

PSG need more CB's for that though, depending on PSG's next realistic targets, we can guess what Blanc will play next season.

l'Equipe is not the only place i heard the 442/352 story on...  They didn't promise that they'd stick with it.  They promised to give it a shot in preseason and early season.  If the team does well, then they stick with it.  If it doesn't, they move to something else.

It's just a way to keep Cavani on for one more season and see if the Ibra/Cavani duo works.  Best case scenario, it works great.  Worse case scenario, it doesn't and they'll need to make an Ibra/Cavani decision next summer.

I personally think the 352 is a very good idea.

They have Luiz, Silva, Marquinhos and Camara signed.  They're negotiating to extend Alex.  Alex wants a raise and they can't give it to him, which is what's holding that up.  I suspect it gets resolved once some of the dead weight gets moved.

ok nick... thing is, he started with a 442 last year and went to the 433 because it didn't work... not because of Ibra or Cavani but because of the fullbacks and Lavezzi/Lucas.  There was no Cabaye AND Van Der Wiel/Jallet was not sorted out.  Basically too many moving parts.  I don't see any reason he won't give it a try again.

I will quote you as soon as preseason starts because that's how they're going to play from the get go.  If Cavani stays, it's guaranteed.... and it seems like he's staying.

And its not like Blanc doesn't change tactics. He was playing a 4231 with France NT. He just goes with his personnel.

442 was how carlo left the club, so he stayed with it, saw that it didnt work for him, and then changed and found a formula that works.

I saw it differently, Blanc is obsessed with possession keeping now, and a 3 man midfield is the only way you can take advantage of Verratti consistently. It was also convenient because all of Marco, Motta and Matuidi are starters.

Cabaye is there to rotate with a 3 man midfield, that's it. Did i mention his formula works? and he is going to change it all for cavani, when psg are supposed to grow on what they built so far? Laughing

quote me when psg are 10 games into the season or play big games. preseason counts for nothing.

2014 Summer Transfer Rumours Mk. III - Page 36 Empty Re: 2014 Summer Transfer Rumours Mk. III

Post by sportsczy Fri May 30, 2014 9:04 pm

With Rabiot emerging first and then Cabaye being there when Rabiot got injured, it allowed Blanc to play Motta/Verratti/Matuidi together.  He didn't want to play the 3 with nothing on the bench since, other than Matuidi, the other 2 are 1) card magnets and 2) can't keep the stamina up for 90 mins.

Another HUGE reason that the 442 didn't work is that Pastore was starting to begin the season if you recall.  You had:

Lucas-Motta-Matuidi-Pastore with Ibra/Cavani up front.  Verratti and Lavezzi were coming off the bench.  Pastore was flopping so massively that it was incredible Laughing Lucas wasn't doing well either...  Lavezzi was flopping off the bench too.  So Blanc had to switch tactics as his players weren't executing.  Verratti looked great coming off the bench and he switch to a 433 to allow him to come in and he had Rabiot for cover (he was playing well too).

Blanc just adjusted to the players that were performing and then stuck with it as the perfomances remained good.  He's a pragmatist.

And the player's father, Leonel del Castillo, told Esports COPE that Aguero would be "delighted to go to Barcelona" but that he believed "Manchester City makes it impossible".

Indeed, del Castillo went on to say that Aguero is not unhappy in Manchester and is also more than happy with the treatment he receives from the Citizens.

The £25m bid for Lallana is a final attempt by #LFC to get the deal done. They have no intention of increasing that offer.

The Mirror say LFC want to sign Alberto Moreno within the next week.

I'd hazard a guess that this:
Yohan Modric wrote:Liverpool make offer for Shaqiri, according to Kicker.

is directly related to this:
Nishank wrote:BBC Sport ‏@BBCSport 14m

James Pearce ‏@JamesPearceEcho 8m
The £25m bid for Lallana is a final attempt by #LFC to get the deal done. They have no intention of increasing that offer.

Shaqiri is the fall-back option if Sotton reject the second bid for Lallana, though I suspect Liverpool will find Bayern even more difficult to negotiate with than Southampton are.

Meanwhile the deal for Emre Can has stalled over the player's wage demands and Liverpool are pushing hard to seal the Moreno deal before any other clubs can get involved.

IF these deals do end up getting sorted out, the next targets will be a CB (Lovren top target, Caulker back-up) and GK (Vorm seemingly the top target).

Also expect a number of exits this summer: Reina, Agger, Aspas, Assaidi, Coates, maybe Alberto, Borini, and Lucas
