In which month will Moyes get sacked?
Official David Moyes Watch Thread
Sry for another Moyesey thread, but I wanted to have a poll.
It has to be inevitable, right? United won't finish in the top-4, there's no way they're going to beat Bayern Munich and advance in the CL and the pressure and the fans' outrage is surely getting too high.
In which month do you think the inevitable will happen?

Re: David Moyes sacked
Well they got no chance to win anything anymore so i doubt he would be sacked b4 the season's end? Not like Man U's style to do that. So if they decided to replace him should be in the summer.
All of us non MAn U fans hope he stays as long as he can of cos

Re: David Moyes sacked
Paul Scholes
Fergie
GIVE MOYZE TIME FFS
“He’s only nine months into the job. You have to stand by him. OK, he’s made a couple of signings that haven’t quite worked out yet, as he would have liked.
“In the summer, he’s going to need backing – there’s no doubt about that. Was he backed as well as he could have been last summer? I’m not too sure. But this summer, he has to be backed – and I think he knows he needs players.”
Director Sir Bobby Charlton backs David Moyes "as the right man" to manage Manchester United despite some "really, really bad" performances.
England's all-time leading goalscorer says the Scot "hasn't really done the best that he can" so far at Old Trafford, but insists "it doesn't mean that we're going to change everything".
Fergie
"They [Manchester United] will be all right," said Ferguson, speaking at a gathering thrown by the British Consul-General Chris O'Connor in Los Angeles before Sunday night's Oscars. "It's early days and there have been a lot of changes.
"He needs time. I was there for 27 years, so with a new manager it takes time. But they'll be OK."

Re: David Moyes sacked
I think it'll take a while. January next season if they are still 7th or 8th or lower.
Though it depends on what they do in the summer. If they spend a ton and bring in some big names yet results don't change it might hurry the process. But I still think he'll be given a lot longer than he should.
At a certain point I think they may keep him for a while just to say to the next manager they bring in "you'll be given time and a fair chance to succeed". Don't think united what's to have a revolving door of managers

What's the big hurry? Give the gaffer some time ffs. Have to at least give him 3 seasons to build his squad. Then another 2 to test it out. Remember it took Fergie 5 years to win his first trophy.

Re: David Moyes sacked
Seriously the real issue is how much Glazers know about football .Do they have the courage go against the wishes of Ferguson?
Till now they have completely dependent on Fergie for every footballing decision .And Fergie has too big an ego to admit he made a mistake with Moyes anytime soon. Not atleast until Moyes has 2 more windows.
So unless Glaziers decides to ignore Fergie Moyes will get one more year imo. Will probably be sacked when they go out of reckoning for Top 4 next year

Re: David Moyes sacked
They keep him in the summer which will be a huge mistake. After another miserable season they won't be able to keep him any longer and he's gone. Probably sacked in February or March when they're mathematically out of the title race but most likely he'll stay till summer '15.

That's what I was thinking, too, but the dislike-turning-to-hatred from their fans might make it easier to sack him before the season's finished. Last night the fans at Old Trafford started to vent their fury at Ferguson, too, something that I thought would, should never happen. If it continues like this, we might see him gone by the time United get knocked out of the CL.

Re: David Moyes sacked
Let's imagine he gets sacked (pls no ). Who would become his successor? There are some low-profile quality coaches around like Valverde but I can't imagine United appointing a foreigner who doesn't even speak the language. Would they be interested in someone like De Boer? And who will make the decision? Fergie again?

I doubt he's going to be sacked this season. He was appointed for the long term, so regardless of what happens, he will get a few seasons at least.

That's what I believe too. After the season is finished, but with enough time left to make transfers afterwards.
Plus it won't be called a 'sacking', but something like ending the relation in mutual agreement.
No matter what they say now, you really can't tell me they give him another season. No way.
That being said, give him some time ffs!
Fickle, spoilt, classless, ungrateful, impatient United!!

sorry but I have to spoil your hope. We rarely thrash teams 7-0, especially in the CL.
It'll be closer than everyone claims.

Re: David Moyes sacked
Moyes has turned into the scapegoat for Sir Alex and the Board allowing their squad to be in the shape it was in when he took over.
This man would rather not play a midfield at all rather than give Pogba a few minutes when the kid was class. I think history will view him not being able to keep hold of Pogba as the defining moment that signaled the end of their dominance.

Re: David Moyes sacked
Arguments in moyes favour:
A) He inherited players that were on the decline. The fact that they were champions last season just covers that up.
B) He didn't have time to build his own team. He should have more time to get rid of the players that don't want to play for him and bring in players that he wants who will suit how he wants to play.
