You can't really dominate something, when there isn't a competition yet Let's see how they'll manage once DC release any of their connected movies.

I'm not a comic book fan. Not a super hero movie fan either, but TDK alone shits on every other super hero movie imo.

The trioligy itself is goat. But the way Marvel has been building up the Avengers and the super villain (Thanos) through individual super hero movies and Avengers/GOTG is just brilliant.

TDK series was a completely different project. Plus it was run by Nolan. It was never going to fail.
DC is trying to create a cinematic universe just like MArvel has done with their MCU. At the moment they've only had Man of Steel out for that. We'll see how it pans out.

Re: The Movie House - Part 4
TDK wasn't really a comic book film, despite being about batman. If that makes sense. It was drama rather than super hero. Basically a standalone trilogy. However it was for me better than anything comic book related.
They are kinda rebooting the whole thing and it started with MOS.
Won't say it was meh though. It was solid, just not as good as IM1 or avengers. But it was a decent start.
Big hopes for BvS personally. Wish it succeeds as i really really want the films DC promised to be out.

Re: The Movie House - Part 4
Idk, i just don't get myself into these marvel movies. I really liked Iron Man, but 2 and 3 were just bad. Captain America was one of those movies I couldn't wait for the credits to start rolling. Thor 1 and 2 were fun action movies to watch, but nothing more than that (I thought the second one was REALLY forgettable). All in all the only movies i liked were IM 1, Captain America 2 and the avengers. They are ahead, but I just can't see how Marvel are "destroying" DC considering the Nolan trilogy is considered part of the DC universe.

Re: The Movie House - Part 4
Well you are on the same wavelength as everyone else then Ganso
IM, Cap 2, Avengers, and Guardians of the Galaxy are the only great films Marvel has put out in MCU.
The rest were decent superhero action flicks. More for the enjoyment of the fans than anything else.

Amazing Spiderman 3 won't be out till 2020? Read some rumours that Sony might give marvel/disney the license to use Spider man in avengers civil war.
Would be really awesome IF it happend.
Also is Ryan Reynolds playing Deadpool again? He's been mediocre in every role he's been in the marvel universe smh..

You do know that Nolan was the writer of the story in Man of Steel right? And also a main producer?

1. He didn't play Deadpool. That wasn't Deadpool.
2. Ryan Reynolds was great as Wade Wilson
3. Only redeeming thing about Blade Trinity.
4. He hasn't been in the marvel universe

Re: The Movie House - Part 4
Nah he was an executive producer. Goyer wrote the script and Nolan just overlooked it.
Nolan's brother apparently writes most of Nolan's movies in any case and he wasn't in charge of MOS since C.Nolan had minimum interference.
They tried to do a TDK with the dark atmosphere but it didn't work at all

No Goyer wrote the screenplay. Nolan co-wrote the story with Goyer. Nolan was also a Producer, not executive. Please check up RG.
Also to say Man of Steel didn't work is just personal opinion. I for one really really liked the movie, the best comic book movie of the year.

Re: The Movie House - Part 4
Think Nolan was only producer as well.
Man of Steel, with all that crazy destruction at the end hahahaha, nah didn't do it for me. That wasn't off of Nolan's mind for sure.

The highest ranked producer on a film, is the one simply called a producer. Nolan still was a big influence on the story of Man of Steel and the main reason for it to be as grounded as possible.
Nolan isn't perfect either. His brother is by far the more talented writer.

Re: The Movie House - Part 4
Yea agreed. Speaking of Nolan brothers
Few reviews coming out for Interstellar. Highly rated so far, but that's not a surprise. Apparently it's very long. Like 2 hours 50 mins or something.
Obviously don't read this(removed link anyways) since it's probably full of spoilers but
Interstellar, first-look review: 'close to a masterpiece'
Telegraph.

Re: The Movie House - Part 4
Everyone should avoid reading Interstellar reviews tbh. The critics have spoiled it pretty much in a lot of them (which is pretty *bleep* up, since the whole idea is to comment on a movie and give a suggestion on whether to see it without giving spoiler).

^^
Freeza I get you mate. Nolan ain't perfect, not saying that. And if you liked MOS, good for you. And yeah, I know that his brother, Jonathan I think writes most of his stuff and cleary the writing talent comes from J. Nolan and the directing, spectacle talent comes from C. Nolan.

88% 10 votes from Nolan fans.
6% 1 votes from Shawshank fans wanting to keep that number 1 spot

Wouldn't read too much into that.
Inception had like 9.8 after 3 days or something, then dropped to 8.8

Re: The Movie House - Part 4
I've read reviews from people who seen Interstellar. They said it is great, easily one of the best movies of the year but nothing groundbreaking or something that would go down as one of the cinematic GOATs.
