Re: -The Official Club of Europa League>Champions League Gathering- Pt.II
It was shameful officiating not to give offside for Sevilla's first. I'm pretty sure Carrico himself was marginally offside before he even touches the ball, and when he does, Mbia is blatantly offside. Granted, it was the slightest of touches, but a referee and linesman in a cup semi-final really should be spotting those.
It's tough on Valencia as I thought they were the better side before that. Sevilla looked a bit disorganised and were vulnerable to Valencia's counters, of which there were plenty because Sevilla were careless with their passing going forward. The first half had a ridiculous number of turnovers, probably a result of both teams playing with a high tempo.
I loved Bacca's goal, though.
Key for Sevilla now is to not get carried away and concede an away goal.

Just saw the MBia goal. the guy was three days offside. But then it was hard to spot the header prior to that

Mbia was like a mile offside for his goal.

Di Maria or Pogba? Di Maria suits our current style much better imo.

What a fantastic competition, this is the epitome of European football. Who wants to watch a competition where Bayern, Real and Chelsea/Barca reach the semi finals annually?
Cannot wait to meet Roma in the QF's of EL next year after beating Dortmund in the R16

Man, seeing Juventus 1 goal down to Benfica in the Europa League makes me realize how much Serie A has declined. Used to be my favourite league in the 80s when I was a ballboy and throwing balls at Platini, Maradona and Zico for throw-ins.

After nearly bursting his lungs in two, running more kilometres than a Kenyan endurance runner and almost costing his team in the process, Carlitos Tevez scores his first European goal since 1997.
Well deserved. 1-1.

Tevez has been to 2 CL Cup Finals and won one. Stop pretending he's some European flop ffs.

Post goal and 10 minutes after Juventus essentially took control of the game as Benfica's elation via crowd and players wore off. The goal as per usual woke Juventus up and Pirlo took the reigns by the balls ever since.
Should have scored more if not some final third blunders.

Wow, what a goal. Old man Buffon had absolutely no chance there.

Benfica scores with only their second shot in the second half.

Absolute Golazo by Lima. Nothing Buffon could have done there. A goal out of nothing in such fashion just shows how much Benfica want this tie.

Very poor from Conte subbing in Osvaldo, he though the match was over.
