As for Shaw, as I said, £34m could get you, almost literally, any fullback on the planet....and they're paying it for Luke sodding Shaw...
At any time during his pomp, was Ashley Cole - best left-back on the planet for the best part of the last decade - worth over £30m? I'd say not. No fullback is. If United want to shell that out on a teenager with less than a season-and-a-half worth of top flight appearances, go right ahead.

Agree. I'd rather see 20m go to RR and 14m towards a DM than 34m on Luke Shaw.

Also, Suarez will return but won't hit full stride till around Jan, I'd say. Basically his 2014 is over.

Shaw isn't a Cole though, he isn't anywhere near Cole's level.
