I've said it in the past, FSG have no problems paying wages if the players deserve it. They're just not happy when the likes of Downing get 70k, Cole gets 100k, Carroll gets 90k, etc.

No English club can activate the release clause nor will Liverpool sell him to another English team. It's in the contract. So, if he is to be sold, it will be to a team that is not in England.

We don't know what the release clause is, but there IS one on there. I don't think we'll leak it out either. But we do know that it's over 50 million pounds.

Would make sense to me if there is a clause. Both protects the club and makes it possible for him to leave. Would make sense to have one, in this case

Suarez signing a new deal is great news for Arsenal, Wenegr's obsession with Surez cost us a lot of other players. We never had a chances and now we can sign qulaty striker with out being linked to Suarez every minute

Well, considering we'll be top of the league on christmas day, I see us hunting for the title, and not the top 4 thing small clubs like Spurs aspire for.

But why now? why not at the end of the season when all is assured. The timing of this contract is confusing to me.

what i like about the contract is he will be paid less money till the end of this season and then more money from the next season.

I am sure that is what Ayre or BR has told Suarez before he signed that new deal. Considering that we finished 7th last season, even if we are in the contention of the title race, i will be over the moon reall

Ever heard this rumour that footballers are most of all just interested in how much money they make? £200k/week is plenty of incentive for anyone

City,Chelsea and Bayern can afford his wages.Also even if Liverpool finish top 4 this season it's no guarantee they'll finish Top 4 the next.Stupid of him to sign a contract
