Re: Champions League last 16 draw discussion
What were Bayern playing for? They already won the group, that game was essentially a friendly for them. Wouldn't read too much into it.
City play too open to win the CL.

Bale to do the job on Arsenal in a different kit. Would be fun to watch.

A Germany - England fight in 1/16 is very likely.

Re: Champions League last 16 draw discussion
khaled thinking Barca can beat Atleti
Only way Atleti will go out of the competition is on away goals like 0-0 and getting 1-1 at home
I'd love to get Schalke. Ronaldo to stat padd his way into the most goals in history in CL
I really don't mind who we get tbh. Just like to avoid Bayern and Atleti for as long as possible. City will be tricky but they won't play two strikers in big games in cl I don't think, so we can avoid playing against negrito who has a personal vendetta against us lol. Also both Kolarov and Clichy are crap and Nasri and Silva don't track back enough. I see that side being the one we get our way on.
Arsenal will be hard as well but they will be looking to hold on to the ball which works in our favour I think
Arsenal should pray to get barca honestly. for all their offensive power they are still very bad defensively. Ozil spraying those balls to Theo Walcott Alba and Marcherano won't know what hit them

Re: Champions League last 16 draw discussion
People should keep in mind that the Last16 will be played in February / March 2014, by which both Schalke and Dortmund should have most of the missing players back from their injuries. The (at times) dismal showings of the Revierclubs were mainly due to too many players missing.
So Dortmund lacked Mats Hummels, Ilkay Gündogan, Neven Subotic, Marcel Schmelzer, Lukas Piszczek and several others for various of the matches, while Schalke had to do without Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, Kyriakos Papadopoulus, Marco Höger, Dennis Aogo, Chinedu Obasi and several others for quite some games, too.
By the CL Last 16, you can expect most of them (except Neven Subotic, Marco Höger, and Dennis Aogo) to be fit again, which means both Schalke and Dortmund will be considerably stronger then.
BTW, this is also true for Bayern, where Arjen Robben and Bastian Schweinsteiger are expected to return by January.

Atletico must be the best team in the world based on the way Hala hypes them up
Watch them get knocked out in the next round

Re: Champions League last 16 draw discussion
The problem with Levekusen is, they will be shitting in their pants as soon as they will hear about the fixture. I am really looking forward to see whether Hyppiä will manage to put even a considerably good performance against group toppers.
Schalke can always surprise, except they face teams like Barca, Madrid, .... that whatever league. They will also buy some decent player in Jan window I think.
Dortmund and bayern are capable of beating any side they face.

Re: Champions League last 16 draw discussion
Atletico is what Mourinho want chelsea to become. Very disciplined team that defends and counters like a machine.
Real need to avoid both City and Arsenal and the shittiest road the better..like Manu 10-11 road to final.Hope we get zenit,Leverkusen and shalke in next three rounds.

Re: Champions League last 16 draw discussion
For once the schedule is not going to screw us in May, so I'm hoping for the easiest ride imaginable until then. If we make it there, it's inevitable you play a good team....but for now Olympiacos...

When Barca finish third and only win the Copa
Villarreal will beat you on Sunday, you just wait and see then Tito or Tata or whatever his name is will rush Messi back from his injury and will aggrivate it resulting in him being out till next season. The bitch fight that will ensue between AFF and Barca will be more entertaining than expendables. I have the whole scenario in my head
