Southampton are such a watchable side. They have a nice combination of possession play and directness. Oh, and dat midfield... Schneiderlin and Wnayama complement each other nicely, and Lallana is a dangerous AM. With Ward-Prowse coming on, they have a very solid core. As long as they keep one of LAmbert, Rodriguez and Osvaldo on form, they'll continue to be dangerous.RealGunner wrote:Southampton totally destroying Fulham

A bit worried about facing Liverpool next week esp since we are starting to look sluggish as hell. THe good thing is, we can afford to lose points and still be within hairline distance of 1st place.
Ps: Is there anyway we can fight the Arteta booking? Fook its never a good sign for Arsenal when ever Chamakh is out on the pitch :@

Yea. But flamini is out for 3 weeks and neither of Walcott, Podolski and Oxlade will be back so you can still be happy

Re: Barclay's Premier League discussion '13-'14 V3
According to the BBC, Luis Suarez has scored a hat-trick every 20.3 Premier League games, "the best rate of all 46 players to have scored more than one treble" in the top tier.
He's also worked on his "conversion rate" and has 6 goals in 30 odd shots. No surprise as he's not the sole contributor to our goals this year.
I started off with the Clasico but it's been the same crap for last couple of years. Players surround referees, players dive, not much action in front of goal. It was pathetic. After half time, I put on the Soton match and never looked back.
To be honest, this is probably the best time to play them at the Emirates.
They have Chelsea mid-week in the League cup so will play a solid to strong team.
Then they have us. And then a few days later, a MASSIVE game against Dortmund to help progress in the CL.
It will be interesting to see what Wenger does here, and what he priority's as the main competition he wants to challenge. I have a feeling he'll rest a few against us, but play a strong side. Let's just hope we play for a full 90 minutes now, and not drop off when Reina does a blunder. (Not that he's here anymore, but last year we dropped a 2-0 lead...)

Yeah, he's free to play against us.Nishank wrote:Arteta will miss the League cup game only i guess, Right?

Dont think we will get anything out of it but fascinating none the less.

It got a bit better towards the half-time with Chelsea attacking, but City certainly are not benefitting at all from that "extra man in midfield". They need Dzeko.RealGunner wrote:Terrible match between Chelsea-City.
Also, £30m for Fernandinho, damn ridiculous. Rodwell would do a better job than this guy.
