Can't see Reja getting them back on track again. Also, the deal is just for 6 months, with Yakin (Basel) expected to take over in the summer.

Webb to officiate Juve-Roma?
Newspaper Il Tempo is calling for English referee Howard Webb to officiate the Juventus-Roma Scudetto showdown.
The top two teams in Serie A are separated by five points and go head-to-head in Turin on January 5.
This fixture has a history of controversy, including another title decider in 1981 that saw Maurizio Turone’s goal for Roma famously disallowed for an incorrect offside call.
Now newspaper Il Tempo is suggesting the Italian Federation guarantee fair treatment by bringing in a foreign referee for this game.
Their preferred option would be 42-year-old Englishman Webb, who recently officiated Juventus-Real Madrid in the Champions League.
..
How credible do you guys think this is ? It would be a great move actually.

Re: The 2013-14 Calcio Saga Episode II
Newspaper Secolo XIX claims President Silvio Berlusconi has put Mario Balotelli on the market after a furious outburst.
The Genoa-based paper ran the story this morning, suggesting Berlusconi confided in members of his entourage that he had run out of patience.
“I’ve had enough and the decision is made. Mario is officially on the market and we need to sell him before the end of January,” Berlusconi allegedly said.
The patron had problems with SuperMario in the past, famously describing him as a “rotten apple” before the transfer from Manchester City was completed.
However, it is extremely unlikely the Rossoneri would sell their best player and top scorer, particularly as they are still in the Champions League and will face Atletico Madrid in February.

As expected, Milan released a statement denying President Silvio Berlusconi put Mario Balotelli on the market.
The report emerged in Genoa-based newspaper Il Secolo XIX this morning, suggesting the patron was furious with his behaviour and demanded a sale during the January transfer window.
This afternoon Milan released a statement “absolutely denying the statements that were attributed to the President of Milan regarding an unthinkable placement of Mario Balotelli on the market.
“Mario Balotelli is and remains a Milan player.”

Is Il Tempo a Roman newspaper ? Then i can understand where this report is coming from. Silly me for putting so much emphasis on this.
Also the claims in that report are wrong :
Also the claims in that report are wrong :
32 years later, this legendary story is now enriched by a very dramatic ending: like the Italian sport newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport reported, on 23 February 2013 in a radio show on Radiodue (Italian radio) the journalist Carlo Sassi declared that the slow motion photograms were falsified to twist the true against Juventus by the RAI TV-studios in Rome. According to the journalist, the goal was actually irregular and the decision of the referee was in fact correct. Carlo Sassi was at that time working for RAI television as sport commentator

lol lets not argue about a thing which happened but that goal was 100% legitimate. People saw it live and it's one of the most infamous moments in the history of Calcio. Tampered slow motion replays lol.

Re: The 2013-14 Calcio Saga Episode II
it would be wrong to call a foreign referee for juve-roma ( that is not even so decisive ) . it would set a precedent. then all would want foreing referees, for other top matches, the derbys ....and who says a chievo sassuolo (match to avoid a relegation ) is less important than another match .....
yes , regardless replay it was a legitimate goal..

Re: The 2013-14 Calcio Saga Episode II
Astute signings. Gonalons has been a bit underrated and has been a victim of Lyon's decline. As an individual player, he's continue to grow rather well.
N'koulou was going nowhere fast with Marseille and with Paolo Cannavaro on the outs and the other CBs not really convincing at Napoli, he could be a breath of fresh air back there for them.

McLewis' pressuring of Rizzoli is going to wind-up getting Roma a hat-trick of dubious penalties imo.

As much as people want to to paint this as a 'title clash' its not one and it wont be decisive as to who secures the title either.

Re: The 2013-14 Calcio Saga Episode II
Well this is the first time in nearly a decade that Juve and Roma have faced off as the top 2 in the table. This fixture has a lot of history behind it, most it controversial unfortunately.
If anything, you'd be correct if you were talking about any other edition of this fixture prior to this season and after the '02 season.
The winner of this match will set the pace for the 2nd half of the season. It would take a sizable implosion from either or both sides for that to be otherwise.
