Honestly its not a bad idea. Hes a good crosser, has good linkup play wwith Vidal, excellent dribbler and not afraid to take on his man, good defensively, and strong as an ox. Only problems are that hes relatively slow, and his positioning and decision making in our own half is not good. But the positioning and decision making will come with time.

Why not use an alternative tactic?

It's kind of a terrible idea imo lol. It's like asking Sergio Ramos or Pepe to play DM at Madrid... it sounded good on paper. But every time we tried it, it was awful.

A player can't just go into such a specialized position as fullback/wingback when he's never played there in his life.

Just to start, Pogba doesn't make the runs and the recovery of a fullback.

So instead of having RWB on the team who defends really good we use someone who is more dangerous when he attacks...

So IMO this is not about giving Pogba a WB role, it is about giving the team more options to attack...

I dont think speed is most important on the wings today, because in modern football opponents make more pressure and they don't allow you to run too much with the ball..

Today football is all about tika taka, you got to be a teamwork genius otherwise you can never unlock opponents with dribbling or speed because there are good defenders out there who knows how to block...

I think I'd be ok with it if we were using a 4-4-2 formation and had Licht playing RB (but that would also require Peluso, PDC, or Asamoah at LB). However, we are already conceding poor goals on counterattacks and Pogba doesn't add much in terms of defense. I think we would be very susceptible to attacks on the right side. Then again, it probably can't be worse than Isla.
