What a fantastic start to the campaign. P11 W10 D0 L1.

If you had offered any of us that before the season started, of course, we'd have grabbed your hand off. It's even more impressive that the 10 wins came in succession, and that we still have 4 key players to return (SC,OX, TW & LP).

Ozil and Ramsey were incredible. The back 5 continue to look more and more solid every week. Flamini remains the bargain of the summer, whilst Ozil at £42.4m looks a snip so far. Giroud was outstanding, heavily involved in the first goal, and then he scored the second, of course.

The only sour point was probably Rosicky's below-par display, but he has only just returned from injury and it's quite rare to see him off-key so we'll let him off.

Is it the best we've played since invincibles? Not sure. 07/08 was some magic football too. Barcelona/Milan games recently were special too. Who cares? We're on a roll. Bring on West Brom.

It's a good start, I agree with you there Sam. But I don't feel the same levels of excitement today, despite the orgasmic football last night.

The reason is simple. We shouldn't have much of a problem against WBA this weekend, with our current form and confidence, as long as it doesn't become complacence - we've been down that road quite a few times. But then we have an international break, where we'll all be bored out of our lives waiting for Arsenal games to resume and scared out of wits hoping for no fresh injuries.

And on the other side of it, we have those 7 games in 21 days, including 2 matches apiece against BVB and Chelsea and 1 against Manchester United. That could set us well on our way to this season, or we will end up in a deep hole and scramble to finish top four again. That's what is causing me quite some concern.

That said, imagine if on November 10, our stats read 17 Wins, 0 Draws, 1 Loss.

Just take a deep breath and imagine. If we don't have any more injuries, if Giroud stays fit, if Bendtner gets match fit, then with Santi, Theo, Ox and Poldi returning, this is very much possible. 17-0-1.

There is two players I have to give massive credit for and that is Giroud and Ramsey. Ramsey I was a big critic of last season and was always infuriated that he was starting, I didn't want to sell him but when I heard Fulham were interested in having him on loan, I thought we should of done that. Looks like Wenger was right to start him and now he is playing out of this world, at this rate maybe Real Madrid will want another Welshman in their team.


Giroud I thought did well last season but questioned if he was good enough to start for us and was a bigger fan of us getting Higuain or Suarez. But he has improved immensley as well, his first touch is much better and so is his hold up play, some of the passes he has done this season have been amazing. So those two players who I questioned have been our top players so far so well done for them.


Ozil I always knew was going to slide right in, the guy is absolute class and I still pinch myself as I can't believe we got him. He could honestly be the difference between us battling for top 4 and us battling for the title, that is how good he is and how much of an impact he has made so far.
