Pogba eyes Ballon d'Or...
The midfielder is clear about his ambition of becoming the world's best, but insists he will be keeping his feet firmly on the ground:
Juventus starlet Paul Pogba has claimed he will not be satisfied until he wins the Ballon d'Or.
The 20-year-old has been a standout performer for his club since moving to Turin on a free transfer after leaving Manchester United last summer and was rewarded with his first France call-up in March.
But the midfield prodigy, who was also recognised as the best player at the Under-20 World Cup en route to captaining his side to victory in July, is refusing to rest on his laurels until he is crowned the world's best player.
"I won the World Cup and was named the best player and it was all beautiful," Pogba recalled to L'Equipe. "But I do not feel like king of the world.
"I will not stop there, because I have not yet won the Ballon d'Or."
Suspension means Pogba has been absent from les Bleus' squad for their World Cup 2014 qualifiers with Georgia and Belarus but he is likely to feature when France are in action again in October.

Re: Pogba eyes Ballon d'Or...
He WILL win the Ballon d'Or, as an attacking midfielder...
You don't win this prestigious trophy playing defense. Only the great Franz Beckenbauer, the greatest defender ever, could accomplish that and maybe one or two others. Speaking of Beckenbauer, he actually started his career as a midfielder before he switched to a defender. He invented the sweeper role and became the greatest ever at that position. Scirea and Baresi followed in his footsteps.
So my prediction is Paul Pogba will be converted to an attacking midfielder in due course and will win the Ballon d'Or at that position, ala Ruud Gullit.
Paul Pogba is Ruud Gullit 2.0, watch this video and see the resemblance...
Comment from a Milanista on Ruud Gullit:
"Ruud gullit was a complete player. Assists/Goals/Defending. He is the true meaning of a Box to Box player. Ruud and Van Basten was the dream team. But Ruud was the guy who was everywhere. If you talk about a Free Player, in terms of position. He is the perfect example. Hell he even was a good Central Defensive Midfielder. That says enough about this man. He was a brilliant header and had amazing ball control plus he mastered the art of interception. BEASTTTTTTTTTT"
That comment pretty much describes Paul Pogba. Paul Pogba IS Ruud Gullit 2.0, mark my words, Papa is never wrong...

Re: Pogba eyes Ballon d'Or...
I cannot agree with u that pogba should be played in CAM... its not fifa
He is good at where he is (lcm or rcm)... too tall, slow, to be at that position. His dribbling skills are not that good... he is a mix of marchisio vidal and pirlo... amazing passes like pirlo, amazing shots, and great interceptions and b2b skills like vidal and marchisio

Re: Pogba eyes Ballon d'Or...
Gullit was 1.91 metres tall. Pogba is 1.91 metres tall. Gullit started his career as a defender and was turned into a world class attacking midfielder. Pogba has also started out in a more defensive role but his skill set says otherwise, his body is screaming to become an attacking player.salmano9 wrote:I cannot agree with u that pogba should be played in CAM... its not fifa

Pogba has all the skill set and talent to become the best player in the world. Even Conte agrees with me. He is not too slow he just looks slower because of his size. Those long legs of his will allow him to create space between himself and the defender, just like Gullit used to do.
We already have a #8 in Marchisio. Give Pogba the #10 and allow him to be a "free" player. It will allow us to play different formations and will allow Pogba to gain confidence and further develop his world class skills.
I hope Conte plays Pogba and Marchisio together when Marchisio gets back. That will be something I am looking forward to.
