Re: Juventus New Stadium Thread.
What's wrong with flares?
It's part of the atmosphere, along with fire crackers etc. I don't wan't to see fighting and scooters being thrown from the terraces, but banners and general Ultrá culture I do wan't to see.
The banners and flags evoke 'Juventus' as much as anything else for me.
Bundesliga shows that if policed properly and within stadiums that are well designed Ultrá's can be integrated seemlessly. Look at Dortmund's südtribune. Incredible.
English stadia by comparison are lifeless!

Re: Juventus New Stadium Thread.
Last year a player got hit with a flare that got thrown from the crowd.... Juve Ultras like to burn the stadium seats on fire.... Fans and even a kid got stabbed outside the stadium last year.... Its become out of control the past 2 years.... As the economy has been faltering, the subculture and Ultras have become more violent.
Would you take a kid to a game like that? With a new stadium, they need to lay the law down from game 1....

In the tribunale yes I would take a kid...
Violence, burning seats, throwing flares into the away section; That is inappropriate and needs fixing across the whole of Italy.
Ultra's and those issues are not quite inextricably linked, with work we can enjoy their best without the worst. It means weeding out individuals.
What is frankly a carpet ban of that culture is not the right way. While I consider them no more of a fan, they are no less of one either.
English model=Sh**, frankly.
I suspect there is still the odd incident in Germany, but it's handled far better than Italy and is not 'sterilised' as in England.

Re: Juventus New Stadium Thread.
From what I hear, Germany has gotten it right in regards to stadia culture, including youth, shopping, restaurants, etc....
I just would just want a zero violence/vandalism policy enacted and make it the same penalty if you do it near a school, where the fines and penalties are doubled.
Families bring so much money to games... so much more than single guys who just want to cause trouble. thats all I'm really saying.

I 100% agree with your part in red
I'm just conscious of losing the atmosphere. Harsh penalties and zero tolerance can go 75% of the way, backed by responsible policing we can have the best of both worlds.

Re: Juventus New Stadium Thread.
Oh man, I've always thought the atmosphere inside Dortmund stadium is one of the best in the whole world. It's been proved again from your video.
By the way, I've always wanted to ask if anyone knows why the new Juve stadium still kept the design of the 2 tall triangle stands on the side of the stadium, with all the cables supporting them. Is it some kind of symbol?

Maybe it represents the Alps?
I'm not sure though. The other possibility may be that it's entirely structural.
Probbably the latter

Not sure... It just looks a bit odd to me compare to the design of the whole stadium and also the exterior material... And now with the failure of the design by the architect, there are two more cables on each corner inside the stadium... Wonder if they will do anything about it...

Re: Juventus New Stadium Thread.
Area 12: here's the shopping center of the New Stadium
A roaring boom arising from a unique and seamless stain made up of scarves and flags. A collective surge of adrenalin: this is the feature of the Bianconeri supporters, the secret weapon of Juventus who, in the New Stadium, will be at short range from the players and will be more than ever the 12th man on the pitch. The new shopping center that will be adjacent to the new house of Juventus draws its name from this image: "Area 12" will be a place dedicated to the supporters who want to meet and live together their passion, not only on match day but also during the whole week.
34,000 square meters with a hypermarket E. Leclerc Conad, shops, restaurants, boutiques for spending leisure time with family and friends under the sign of fun and aggregation, in total safety.
"Area 12", created by San Sisto company, will be unveiled in October and is bound to the partnership between Juventus and Nordiconad: a partnership not only about trade but also a real sponsorship that has brought the Modena company to become one of the "Official Suppliers" of Juventus.
The relationship grants Nordiconad with a series of rights for promoting their own brand and public relations opportunities. One of these has already given to the winners of "Primi in campo" contest by Nordiconad the chance to visit the stadium and the shopping center in advance, on July 29th.
Mauro Luisetti, CEO of Nordiconad spoke during the press conference held at Vinovo: "Both the companies share the same core interest: the family and the possibility of experiencing both the match and the shopping peacefully and safely".
Aldo Mazzia, CEO and CFO of Juventus added: "We're proud to stand godfather to the first shopping center perfectly integrated with a stadium, our stadium being the only one in Italy owned by a football club. "Area 12" is an example of development between excellent brands, under both town planning and partnership viewpoints. I'd like to highlight that the investment of almost 200 millions of Euros of our companies has created hundreds of jobs and as much will be created in the future. These are harsh times for economics, so we're very proud of this achievement".
