I've been saying for 2-3 years now that I'm stunned Wenger hasn't bought him yet.

I mean he totally fits the profile, young, French, underrated and plays for a team that could probably use the money.

Not surprised a bit. Anyone who has watched Antoinne for over 3 years knows what he is about.

Its not easy as that just buying him as La Real sold Illaramendi for a huge price and he wasn't even their 2nd most valuable asset. Sociedad usually only make exceptions for Barca.

Griezmann was suspended from all France NT for a year because he went on the infamous party night with M'Villa while in the U21 team last year (Niang and Mavinga too)... his 1 year suspension ends in December.  That's the reason he hasn't been called up.

Remember that Griezmann is from the Lyon and grew up a Lyon fan.  His father still has season tickets to Lyon.  He tried out several times for Lyon as a kid and they refused him...  Montanier then advised him to go to LaReal.

As far as Lyon, unless they have a talented youth prospect they can play, they can only afford scrubs until new stadium is done.  Hence the RB, LB and a CB are scrubs.  Malbranque is kind of scrubby too lol.

He was never really given much of a chance though. Even so, the original plan was for Vela to go on loan to Real Sociedad (his loan did not include an option to buy) and come back to Arsenal, atleast thats what Wenger said.

The problem is that Vela has said several times he hates London and did not want to return, still Arsenal have a first option, buy back clause so if they're going to buy someone it might be him.
