One of the most exciting and talented squads I've seen in a long time. The average age of that team is around 20. They play amazing technical and exhilarating football and each players attacks with that youthful exuberance players of that age usually have.
They had a few players like Park, Schaars, Matavz, Toivonen and Narsingh out but give or take 1/2 players that's pretty much their starting lineup.
Give them a watch if you haven't already.
Bakkali is the best player on the team at 17. He's already in the Belgium squad and scored a hat trick today. Belgium could form a mouth watering attack at this next WC with him, Hazard and Benteke/Lukaku if he keeps improving at such a rapid rate.

Re: PSV might destroy Milan
Not to sound arrogant or anything, but we have a formidable squad too
Obviously it doesn't mean that that we'll go through easily. Hell, we might not even go through lol
My only concern is that we do not get complacent, we have to treat them with respect and hope that we can manage a result that goes our way

Fair play. You took your chances they didn't.
PSV dominated possession but a combination lack of quality from out wide, a useless striker, Bakkali's absence and their relative inexperience cost them dearly.

Forgot to add that Milan's experience and nous helped aid PSV's defeat.
They were just savvier today just as they were in the last leg. PSV are undoubtedly a talented side, but they got some growing up to do if they're going to beat a side like this one.

agreed. perhaps PSV were just too young and inexperienced. but nevertheless excellent side. its just really sad and i m gutted for PSV. would have been nice to see them in CL as a young team who could surprise big teams with talents they have gotMcLewis wrote:Forgot to add that Milan's experience and nous helped aid PSV's defeat.

Possession means f*ck all if you can't create.
From what i saw of PSV they remind me of Rodgers Swansea, passing it around nicely but do f*ck all with it.
Not surprised though, typical GL overrating possession over goals shocker.

I like PSV, I'll be following them during the course of the season (somewhat). And will be cheering them on in the Europa League and the Eredivisie.

Its just Gil who wanks over possession and say how shit teams are if they are not "dominating" the game even if their winning?M99 wrote:It's just Gil who is doing this now.Great Leader Sprucenuce wrote:Possession means f*ck all if you can't create.

Re: PSV might destroy Milan
Don't see why Gil deserves the criticism he has received here. If anyone scouted PSV before the UCL clash, they'd understand what a potent team they are.
Talents? None of you have seen Depay? Bakkali? Wijnaldum? Rekik? Jetro? Bruma? Adam freaking Maher?
If you know me, you'll know I find the whole Dutch regime and hype massively overrated, yet this is a wonderful crop lead by a very talented manager.
They lacked experience, but we just were individually better since they relied quite to much on their wide attack to beat Abate, who is literally unbeatable in Europe, and Mattia De Sciglio who pocketed Park Ji-Sung.
Maher beasted in the 1st leg yet was marked out by De Jong.
Their talents are fantastic.
Difference in the 2nd leg was Allegri. Completely taught Cocu a lesson.
Easily the toughest team Milan could have faced, outside Sociedad.

Re: PSV might destroy Milan
Because this was a thread with an unrealistic, sensationalist title. They were not, at any point, close to "destroying us".Arquitescu wrote:Don't see why Gil deserves the criticism he has received here.
You're right about PSV though. They are full of talented young players who are ready to step up to bigger teams. Cocu is a smart coach too, and I like the way he sets up the team. Unfortunately for them, they were drawn against a superior team with a wealth of experience and quality that PSV could not match. I would've liked to have seen them in the CL. Admittedly, the first leg was nervous for Milan, but the second leg of the tie really demonstrated the gap between the two teams - PSV struggled to create even one clear chance, whilst Milan were dominant.

KPB is class when on his day, scored two great goals. I'm sad for PSV but hope they do well in EL, if they manage to keep their players they will be better next year with the European experience they gain this season.

I wonder how they would have done had they played that U22 lineup. Because I think barring injuries that will be there usual lineup in the Eredivise. Perhaps they'll play a more experienced lineup in the EL, but it will interesting to see a starting 11 of: Zoet; Brenet, Rekik, Bruma, Willems; Hiljemark, Maher, Wjandulim; Depay Locadia Bakkali, in the Europa league.
I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for them this season.
