And I'll add that what you reading about OM trying to get rid of a player... It has nothing to do with the Gomis deal other than it may allow OM to offer a better wage. But the rumor of Amalfitano going to Hull City on loan is coming from the UK, not France. Daily Mirror no less Laughing

But OM is definitely trying to move Amalfitano and one of the Ayew brothers if they get the right deal. That's been true since the start of the mercato. It's more a question that they have nowhere to play on the team so they're deadweight.

Firstly he was 35m, secondly he has played more than 20 games and last but not least his ceiling is a lot higher than Agger.

Most people that have watched him regularly think he has the potential to one of if not the best CB in the world one day.

PSG did not just pay for his current performances and ability they paid for potential.

That is completely different to Agger who is not going to get any better and is never going to get to that level.

He is Vertonghen level, no better no worse.

15-20m is about his value, although i can understand Liverpool trying to milk as much as humanely possible if they even do sell him which seems unlikely.

Meh I don't want to argue with a self confessed LFC hater about the valuation of said team.

He won't be leaving for anything anyways so it's pointless. We are really not in a position to sell anymore first team players. Especially since he's Vice Captain now.

Aulas is trying to pressure the deal through. He wants Corchia and he can't get him until he sells someone... that's why he's being such a prick. Problem is that it's backfired badly and time is running out for him.

His tactics have been mostly fail. I like Gonalons, but i don't think he's a world beater. He should have sold him to Napoli for 25 mil as was offered. He could have taken 10 of that and bought Capoue or let Fofana play his natural position. But he's being very stubborn and, frankly, foolish.

The more this gets delayed, the better it is for OM. Newcastle need this to close fast.

Also Sports apparently if we can't get it sorted within the next 5 days we will walk away from the deal so your probably right.

Makes sense tbh, we want a striker and a winger before the deadline and can't wait around for ever.
