Need PC help
This was my post towards the manufacturacy of my PC, Cyperpower:
So now I am at the point where I have bought a 1 TB Western Digital external hard drive to move the data off of my internal hard drive onto a new internal hard drive. The Cyberpower support said that my hard drive was slowing down and could no longer be fixed. My PC still works right now but it is very slow starting up and if I leave it on sometimes unattended for long periods of time it will give me a BSOD.
The problem with moving the data off of the internal hard drive is when i copy and past the local C disk to the external hard drive, it keeps on getting stuck at one point called LSPrintDialog. I have no clue what it is. I'm trying to move everything over one at a time but i cannot find this LSPrintDialog file.
So, my question is that does anyone here have any expertise in the field that would like to confirm this error? Is it a slow or failing hard drive or something else?
Also what data should I move over to the new hard drive? I'm not sure how much data I should transfer and need some advice.

- ey everyone,
I have a problem. This has been happening for generally a long time since I got my PC over a year ago. Generally, what usually happens is when I leave my computer on for a long time without touching the mouse, these things tend to happen
1) Computer gives BSOD with no specific error
2) Screen goes blue and I touch mouse and everything is back to normal
3) Screen goes blue and I touch my mouse but certain files are missing and freezing. Ex. When I click Chrome it would say file does not exist or file is no longer available. Try to click but nothing happens.
After these things would happen, I would usually just restart and it would be fine. These events have happened alot but I generally ignored them and just kept on restarting my computer when it happened.
More recently, I turned on my computer, logged in, and after a couple of minutes it would randomly freeze my screen and then after a while a BSOD would show up saying "Kernel Error" Or something along those lines. This kept on happening for a while now and I didn't think I would be able to get back on my computer.
Another problem that just started happening is that I am getting a Check Disk File C for consistency. It says it has an NTFS file problem upon startup and it does an auto run. It happens every time I restart or turn on my computer. This just started happening today.
To add to this, my computer has been generally slowing down over the course of two years and freezes often and lags alot. Should I replace some parts or buy a new hard drive?
I have had this CyberPower PC for almost two years now. I can add further account info and specs if needed.
Basic System Specs:
Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1
Manufacturer: Cyberpower
Processor: Intel Core i7 CPU 960 @3.20GHz
Installed memory (RAM): 12.0 GB
System Type: 64-bit Operating System
Please help. If needed I will provide any information requested to try and fix this problem.

Re: Need PC help
Did you do a thorough disk check? LSPrintDialog is Lightscribe - what you use to "print" a graphic onto a CD/DVD/Bluray you're burning. Try finding your Lightscribe folder in Program Files. As to why it hangs it sounds like that part of the HDD is corrupted and it ends up trying to find a file which doesn't exist.

Re: Need PC help
Try fixing the disk when the PC boots up? I think you press F8 continuously when it boots up and there's options there to fix the disk.

Re: Need PC help
Sorry forgot to mention this but I ran a data lifeguard check from the Western Digital website after finding my specific brand number. Here is the link.

I tried it an this popped up:

He then told me this:
So, then I tried to put my data onto an internal hard drive and this error showed up.
But now I have been copy an pasting indivudal sectors onto the external hardrive and it has been so far a success. Ill try and find the Light scribe folder right now thanks for the help.
Do you guys think its the hard drive causing the slow bootup, speed, etc?
In regards to the folders I've transferred:

For my Local Disk C should I put everything I have in here? I'm not sure if i really need everything.
Re: Need PC help
Having you tried fixing the disk using the windows tools at startup?

Re: Need PC help
Oh and Yohan are you talking about the check that happens as you turn your PC on? My computer already did that once at startup on its own if that's what you are talking about
Re: Need PC help
Nah you press F8 I think continuously when you start the PC and there's options to fix the PC disk.
