Serie A 'ideal for Oscar Cardozo'

“Serie A would be ideal for Oscar Cardozo,” revealed the Benfica hitman’s agent after links with Juventus.

“Every day I receive many offers,” representative Aldave Pedro told La Repubblica newspaper.

“They arrive from England, Italy and Turkey. Oscar renewed his contract with Benfica three months ago and is tied to the club for another three years.

“However, I spoke to the President and he told me if there is a good deal then he is ready to sell the player. For the moment he is not on the market.”

When asked whether Juventus would be a good fit, the Paraguayan international’s agent was enthusiastic.

“Serie A would be ideal for Cardozo. He would only leave Benfica for a big club with big ambition.”

The 30-year-old has been at Benfica since 2007, but scored 31 goals in 45 games in all competition this season.

Good player, but I'd definitely prefer Higuain or Jovetic.

A striker is 25 or younger must join the club this summer. We can't get older at that position. I'll take Tevez or Zlatan, but that's about it in the older age group.
