Luis Muriel Appreciation Thread
Lack of a thread for this guy outside the Juve section is embarrassing for us as a community. Like this kid very much.
Get in there Rodgers, Future LFC legend lol.com saying he's our #1 target to replace Suarez. Their sauce is from my hyping of him on rawk.

Re: Luis Muriel Appreciation Thread
Hype on RAWK? Here is a typical sample of when a player is linked (or signed) to Liverpool, on how these RAWK members hype or scout them.
Poster 1: "Seems like quite a good player, would be a decent signing lids"
Poster 2: "Nothing I've seen so far from him he cannot do"
Poster 3: "Boy doesn't work hard enough and isn't scouse, do we need him? Jonjo is our future Gerrard anyway"
Poster1: "Not bad, he seems to have the verticality of Redondo, the horizantal movement of Donadoni and the reading of a prime Ancelotti"
Poster 4: "Not to mention a Gianni Rivera-esque vision about him"
Poster 2: "He reminds me of Lionel Messi but he is a better shooter, passer and player"
Poster 4: "I agree he has a lot of Cruyff in him with hints of Dalglish"
Liverpool buys him
Poster 1234: "He is a better Gerrard and will be our new Dalglish, nothing he cannot do"
btw
This would be if they were scouting/hyping a player like Connor Wickham.

It's more like this
Poster 1: Luis who?
Poster 2: Never heard of him
Poster 3: We cant waste so much money on someone who is playing for Udinese of all teams.
Poster 4: *posts FIFA stats* He's career mode legend. Sign him up.
Poster 3: how come we've never heard of him. He's probably shit
Poster 1: That Lionel Messi lad looks a player. We should see if he's interested in coming to the greatest club in the world.
Poster 3: If we sign this Moriyal guy, we'll probably rot in mid table.
Poster 5: I just a watched youtube video of him and looked at his wiki page. Now I know everything about him. I can answer all of you questions.
Liverpool buys him
Poster 1234: He's better than Falcao. Looks like he's got the speed of Ronaldo and touch of Zidane.
Poster 1546: Better dribbler than Messi and Maradonna put together.
Poster 1546: *Posts obligatory youtube video*
Poster 1898: Definitely better than Suarez. That mercenary can rot in Madrid.

LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Messia
Its even worse if the player is raised from the academy and scouse.
They do support our players well in general though.

Re: Luis Muriel Appreciation Thread
I would like Muriel to stay and entertain with Di Natale, give him at least a season at their new Friulu Stadium when it opens for the 2014-15 season.
They should at least wait another season and let the hype grow so they can earn more Sanchez money on Muriel.

Please don't even mention R&B. It is the cesspool of the internet. RAWK at least has some good posters.
In R&B, half the people do not know english, do not discuss football let alone Milan. They discuss interplanetary racism, Supernova remnants and each others mothers more than they do Milan.
If there was a 7th circle of hell on the Internet.
R&B would be it

Considering how Udinese operates, this is probably a done deal already.

lol.com saying he's worth around €17-20m which is £15-17m. I think it's a little too much but we can live with it.

So true, that place is a nuthouse. The fact that Norton tells me the website is unsafe is disturbing, i dont know why i even visit it these days its either for hilarity or mindboggling flame wars. The IQ of that place doesn't even match Hunter-gatherer societies. Rest assured that there are sane Milan fans around the world
OT: I think the Muriel deal might be a high risk move for Liverpool, the kid still needs to mature as well as improve decision making imo. I've seen him far too many times not making the right pass in the final 1/3. Still, he can improve

And while we're at it Jackson Martinez also deserves a huge shout here as an underrated player. 26 goals in 27 appearances for Porto

Actual quotes after signing Ricky Alvarez from FIF
https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=fOYCKI3q7mA
F U C K!
look at that left foot of his! *bleep* messi-like dribbling skills off that left foot. and he's got a decent right foot as well.
IM BIG KEV AND IM *bleep* EXCITED
im totally not bummed about missing out on sanchez now
He is quite versatile. As an AM he moves like Kaka.
Welcome, Ricky who was bought from Velez who? I heard long time ago that Arsenal was tracking you but I've never heard the name of yo' club befo'.
I like his pace & acceleration, but he must not get fat in order to keep it up.I like it that he's very incisive, reminds me of Kaka' & Pastore
I know almost nothing about this guy, but according to a youtube video, I think I'm gonna love him!
i wanna tell u taht ricky is a great player, he has the natural argentinian sprint, quick and aggressiveness, he is left but plays really good with both legs, also he can play every position in the court, he played as right or left winger, also he can play in the middle side
his shooting n passing skills are awesome, i think he will improve his strenght, n body size in Italy too.
so enjoy him, ill cheer for him, as i said hes great u r gonna love him
bouna notte per tutti, io sono fan del inter anche, forza inter

Re: Luis Muriel Appreciation Thread
Almost 8 years since the last post of this thread he has reached his prime.
Is he the best striker supersub in football? At Atalanta he has the reputation of scoring as he enters the field and doing so in spectacular and clutch ways as well.
Its amazing to see him in the capo table the last two seasons from while coming from the bench. 20 goal seasons with limited minutes.

He is the best supersub because he should not be a sub anymore, but a starter. Wasted for bench now.
He is that type of player that we've been waiting for almost 8 years. Now he's finally came.

Re: Luis Muriel Appreciation Thread
The very nice "problem" for Gasperini is that he has Ilicic, Zapata, Muriel, and until recently Papu. No one deserves to be on the bench. I do prefer Ilicic-Zapata in general as a duo, particularly in terms of style and complementarities, but Muriel's level this season has been amazing. The kind of goals and shots he is hitting are beautiful to watch.

Re: Luis Muriel Appreciation Thread
Not sure about his Atalanta form, but he was signed at Sevilla as a Bacca lookalike and he was nothing like him.
