Thiago is not a CAM. He is a CM who can play in the mould of a Xavi. Perfect young player for the Pivot as long as he is played next to a DM such as Mikel.

Been sifting through some rumours and came out with a list of targets:

GK: no rumours I have found here, Perhaps the club think Cech is enough for next season?

RB: We're good here.

CB: No rumours here a part from the possible DL4 move to either RM or Barca for a touch under 30m. Also, the times a reporting we are in the hunt for a CB but don't name any names.

LB: Luke Shaw has constantly been linked to us and more recently, Fabio Coentrao. With Cole getting older and Bertrand being only a back up, I could see either in a Chelsea kit next season.

CM: Xabi Alonso, Sami Khedira and Luka Modric have all been linked while Thiago has been mentioned. I am sure Fellaini rumours remain there as well.

AM: Schurrle, Schurrle, Schurrle. Oh, and the silly rumours of Arda Turan and CR7. Isco has been mentioned as well but I don't believe it.

CF: ever many and his dog. Benteke, Ibrahimovic, Gomez, Lewandowski, Rooney, Jovetic, Cavani and even Yilmaz Have been linked to us. Torres has been rumoured to leave with Italian clubs Napoli and Fiorentina interested.

For the lols: Stoke want Rafa to replace Pulis.

If I missed any, feel free to verbally beat me to a pulp until I include it.

I am sure the club have some GK scrub lined up for a cheap deal. Nothing major considering we don't need a first choice and I think Blackman will be given a first team role next season.

I know Rafa is off to sunny Naples but the rumour is funny none the less.

I could see Turnbull getting an extension and us going into next season with Blackman and Turnbull as back ups. Like I said, no rumours on new GK's simply because it's not a big issue.

It is probably garbage unless we sell DL4 which would just be silly.

I would rather sign a WC striker, he has not been on top form this season.

Concerning a world class striker, I mean who can really come in? I can't see higuian wanting to come to Chelsea, Falcao is out, really doubtful of cavani. Lewendowski is most likely going to bayern, no way on Rooney, so who else? Ibra will prolly stay in Paris

In the event all of the top-drawer strikers become unavailable (which is a definite possibility), I'd rather bring in a younger up-and-comer (Bony, J. Martinez, etc.) and go with him, Ba and keep Lukaku.

Jackson Martinez isn't that young, he'd be 27 by the start of next season. Bony is a definite possibility but I feel somebody not in the mould of a powerful CF would be better so we can change it up when Lukaku is finally our starter. What about somebody versatile like Son Heung-Min? He can play most attacking positions as well as CF.

Yea, that is a potential problem. It's the same thing I was saying when some people were suggesting Benteke. Lukaku, Ba and Benteke are all the same type of striker and we don't want to end up with 3 of the same player with no alternative options stylistically speaking.

Yeah i'd prefer if we sign somebody then it's somebody more technical and versatile.

On a side note Ba has just beaten Messi to POTY this year in my FM. He's got 60 goals in 45 games and counting
