He reminds of Torres when he was Atleti before we signed but with more ability on the ball and maybe a bit less of a natural finishing ability and lesser physical stature. He's built more like Aguero than Torres.

A single season is a difficult measure for a player. For every player that manages to actually build on a breakout season and live up to or near the initial hype that Vietto has enjoyed in 2014/15, at least a dozen fail. Vietto could certainly be the real deal... but chances are more likely that he's not if we're being objective. Whether Liverpool can afford to play such odds is down to personal opinion.

Why would Vietto want to come and play under this clown when a world class manager like Cholo wants him?

Anyways.....Vietto has a 15M euro release clause, Benteke's is 45M euros.

it's obvious who's the bigger risk.

Times again saying all Ings/Clyne/Benteke/Milner are personal Rodgers targets.

How so?

His very first season in Europe and scores 20 goals. He was 20 years old for most of the season.

Neymar couldn't even do that in his first season in Europe and he was older than Vietto and playing for Barca. Sanchez couldn't do that in his first season in European football.

I'm not saying he's as good as them but what he's done is really really impressive and he's only looking to get better.

That's because I don't want the English teams to buy the Bundesliga empty, just because they have a billion pounds TV deal. It's cooler to see them play here than to see them sit on the bench because some English clubs' managers don't really have a clue what their teams need, buy players on a whim and then play others because they were more expensive or so. :coffee:
