Alaba - Best Left Back in the World
Let's stop kidding ourselves and look past his age. There is absolutely no argument anymore. Best LB in the world, head and shoulders above the rest.

Rather have De Sciglio than Alaba. Defensively more sound. Alaba has an equally bright future though

kind of unfair with other lbs since bayern have basically 2 LBs with Ribery

This is true lol, Ribery does a ridiculous amount of work.

Alaba's very impressive.
Solid defensively, intelligent and good attacking wise. One of the best LB's in the World.

Alaba is a great player full with potential, but I am De Sciglio fan and I love that boy and I tihnk he will overpass him

When MDS is defensively beaten and Alaba stops forgetting his position and relying on his speed to bale him out then we'll talk

Re: Alaba - Best Left Back in the World
What impressed me the most about Alaba today is how calm he was when Barca put him under pressure. A very cool head and extreme maturity. For me he is the best LB in the world, but it does help that he plays with Ribery. I feel really bad for Contento because I think he has a ton of potential too.

Definitely up there with the best,
Half compliment to him, half down to the fact the full-back positions are easily the lowest quality positions in football at the moment.
Which is the same reason Licht is so important to us.

Re: Alaba - Best Left Back in the World
Alaba is further ahead in his development than De Sciglio at the moment, a hugely impressive defender who is certainly worthy of being mentioned amongst the greatest left backs on the planet. Extremely difficult to think of a top club where he wouldn't be a starter at this moment in time.
Given that Criscito is injured and stranded in Russia - - he's quite possibly the best there is. This coming from someone who is very reluctant to consider youngsters amongst the top five in their position.
Juventus, Roma or Inter really need to rescue Contento, it's not his fault that he's stuck behind an absolute dynamo.

Re: Alaba - Best Left Back in the World
Uncomfortable with De Sciglio being mentioned in the same breath as Alaba. Not even close when it comes to individual ability. But i would take De Sciglio if i had the choice since he is a Milan product and sometimes that should count for allot more than it should these days.

Re: Alaba - Best Left Back in the World
I'll agree he has crazy support with Ribery there as opposed to say playing at Juve where you need to work the flank on your own. But still, full backs today are so bad it's shocking. He's a quality LB which actually means he's one of the best these days
