Zaragoza vs Barcelona
-----tello----cesc----alexis--
--------thiago-----xavi--------
--------------song-----------
adriano---batra-pique--montoya.
Batra, Adriano,Montoya really need to start playing. We may be forced to use them in those big SF matches or even the final, if we get there.
Abidal can come on for Pique at some point in the match. The same for alves once adriano gets his customary injury.
I dont really wanna see Xavi out there, but the fact that he has traveled at all means he will feature at some point.

for the next couple of La Liga teams we should really start changing up our lineup, give the bench warmers minutes and youngsters game time.

Would also like to see JDS get some minutes whenever Cesc or Thiago are tired, Sergi Roberto as-well.

Re: Zaragoza vs Barcelona
However should replace Pique after he gets his yellow before his suspension in the CL should start tomorrow alongside Bartra...
Xavi shouldn't start... Need to rest as many players as possible, no risks please... We are struggling and if we have any hope of doing well in CL then we need our best players fully fit, ready for CL...
Alves needs a rest desperately and with Alba out, either Adriano at LB (if he isn't playing at CB) or Planas (If Adriano is).

Re: Zaragoza vs Barcelona
Why is Xavi playing? If he's carrying an injury he should be rested. Thus if he's playing he must be fit.

Re: Zaragoza vs Barcelona
Tremendous long pass from Bartra and control from Tello and he almost scores with a trademark long curled shot.

Agreed, Alexis looks very focused in these 23 minutes, I think he's going to add on to that assist.

Re: Zaragoza vs Barcelona
Bartra, Song, Tello
Song keeps chasing every ball, very good to see. He really wants to play. Bartra very solid. Tello good positioning, needs to get his finishing better but good game!

Very good game from Bartra. Good positioning, ball playing, aerial presence and tackling. Best game I have seen him play!

Re: Zaragoza vs Barcelona
Why shouldnt Xavi play if physically fit?
He got his rest last week, Iniesta gets his this week..historically, Iniesta has been even more injury prone anyway.
Not as if we can use Cesc in midfield and do away with both Xavi and Iniesta, hes needed up front.
Seems reasonable enough to me, also I think Thiago playing with Xavi is good for him, gives him less responsibility and more freedom.
Bartra doing pretty well, some trouble back there letting long balls bounce and other odd errors, but thats not him. Dont know what more he can do to prove the obvious, hes better at centerback than Adriano.

Re: Zaragoza vs Barcelona
I tell you, if Alexis is leaving Barcelona, he is refusing to go easily, he is giving his all.
Great effort on the counter attack and attempted lob and then dribble on the left with an overhit cross but good idea.

Re: Zaragoza vs Barcelona
People saying we have no new Pique/Messi quality players anymore coming out of la masia. Bartra, Tello. These boys are going to be huge!

Re: Zaragoza vs Barcelona
Yeah Tello playing very well.
Alexis having a decent game. Got an assist and almost a goal. That lob was beautiful- who would have seen Alexis doing that 2 months ago? He's certainly more confident. Too bad it didn't go in.
Thiago bossing it

Re: Zaragoza vs Barcelona
Cesc is having a very difficult time....2 of every 3 touches goes wrong in some way.
Pitch is pretty bad, balls isnt rolling or bouncing really great but still.

I didn't want to be the one to say it because that would be too...typical.
But yes he is.

dani, why was Cesc needed up front? Why couldn't we play Villa there or try Alexis as false 9?
I was shocked to learn Xavi started the game.
I didn't get to watch this game but glad to read about a comfortable victory about to complete. After two somewhat below par games Thiago really stepped up today.
So we will now need three more wins to wrap up the league title and if Madrid slip away against Bilbao tonight it could be even less.
Re: Zaragoza vs Barcelona
Why is Xavi still on the pitch? We are 3 up wtf?

Could of played Villa too, but he played midweek too..so either way, someone wasnt going to get rest. Why go with Xavi away from home, going to need control of the game so made sense.
