Yeh he didn't really do much. Italy were aggressive with him. Although he does deserve credit for his goalscoring.

It was startling to me how disjointed Brazil looked without though....

Can talk about his goals and assists to the cows come home and everything else.

But he clearly runs this team, they looked so much more fluid with him on the pitch than the period he was subbed off for.

FFS what do you guys expect him to do? dribble 6 italian players like iniesta or messi?

Didn't you say earlier Cavani is a donkey but seriously i wouldn't let it bother you too much it was only Jiopsi who said it and he has to defend his lover when he feels threatened

I did say that, but neymar can do the basics.. not sure if cavani can IMO neymar always has good link up play as well

Too bad he's going to be Villa MK2 till Messi retires. He'll shine with Brazil though... again just like Villa with Spain.

Here's where i disagree....

1. He's a natural left winger/IF unlike Villa.... he is a much superior than Villa at dribbling and there is an argument that he's better technically and passing too.

2. He's not like past forwards Barca have bought since Messi who wanted to be the centre of attack.... if anything he doesn't like that and struggles when he is the centre piece of the team. For Brazil he performs a lot better when Oscar is on the pitch and for Santos his best form came when Elano and Ganso were lending creative support.

Which is one of the reasons why i never understood the outcries from people saying Neymar should have joined a team who would have built around him.... He has never at any stage shined as the guy you build a team around as said before his best form has come when the creative burden is shared with 1 or 2 others and struggles when he has to do it himself.

Besides Villa scored more than 20 goals and had over 10 assists in his first season despite missing loads of easy chances on top of that and scoring in big games but then sadly lost a lot of what made him great due to a big injury.

If Neymar does that will any Barcelona fan complain? you bet they won't.

I have been saying this for a while.He is much better when the system isnt built for him.As mole said, he was much better when santos had Ganso and Elano, and now he is playing really well for the Nt since the responsibility is shared between him and Oscar,Fred,Hulk,Paulinho,Hernanes etc.People keep saying that the NT is built around him and thats not true.

As I said before,my prediction is that he will score at least 20 goals this season

Neymar went down VERY easily on that tackle. He wanted the freekick and you could see it in the way he went down.

Its a well know fact that Neymar is a diver. He just solidified that fact when he went down asking for a foul.

What I hate is how Neymar is allowed to make about 12 fouls a game.


Anybody touches him? Fk me he's going down and nobody's going to stop him. I hate how this modern game is catered towards weaker people.

Whilst i agree with Tom, i'd like to point out that if Balo made the same kind of foul as Neymar did on Abate, he'd get a yellow card

Need to learn the difference between exaggerating contact and diving....

Did Neymar exaggerate contact? was the free kick a soft one? yes.

Did he dive? no was it a free kick ? yes.

That's exactly my point. He *bleep* up Abate and made numerous other fouls in the game but when someone touches him he makes sure that he goes down.

Of course he is still one of the best youngsters in the world I don't deny that.

Yeah Neymar finally got a yellow and made about 6 fouls after that

On one hand they're trying to kill the art of defending, on the other hand, they let Neymar commit more fouls in one game than Vidal makes in two
