I read in local web page that Barca could be banned from CL and deducted 22 la liga points if they find irregularities in the Neymar contract. That seams a bit harsh! I agree for banning in CL due to FFP, but why deduct 22 points in la liga? It is not as if a team was paying the refs, or doping. Also, la liga has no FFP. It should be people who run the club who should be legally accounted and perhaps paying the fine if any tax was not payed or such.

Anyway, I do not think that the judge will find irregularities, but if they will, I hope I never see the monkey face near Barca facilities ever again.

Where have I said that his case is madrid propaganda against Barca? All I said was that that particular article is not trust worthy simply because the guy who wrote it, Inda, is not reliable when it comes to Barca. Just in the summer, this guy said that Barca payed 170m for Neymar. rofl

If they find any irregularities, then he should stepped down and get whatever punishment that he gets. But if there is none, then the socio who is behind this, should get some kind of punishment from the club aswell. If in the end it shows that everything is 100% legal, then all that this socio has done is damage the image of the club, simply because he has a grudge against Rosell. With socio's like that, who needs the enemies? rofl

Judge accepted the complaint which means on primary inspection there is something fishy about the whole deal..

btw lol at the transfer fee going from 17 mill to almost 80-95 million Laughing

If Barca get a heavy fine Neymar transfer could actually reach 120+ figures.

this is what Barca said from the beggining. Barca paid 57m for Neymar. 17m of those 57 went to Santos and the other company that own a % of Neymar, the other 40m no one knows where it went. Then Barca payed 8m for the right of 3 santos youth, and promised Santos that they would play 2 friendlies in which they would get all the money generated by those games. And if Barca would not play those 2 friendlies, then Barca would have to pay another 10m.

So basically 75m IF you consider the 3 players as a part of Neymars deal and if you think that Barca will have to pay those other 10 million, which I don't..

EDIT: Keep in mind his "wages" are until 2018, and aren't included in the "transfer fee" of the player.

Comes to £72.72m/€87.76m for the transfer fee only. You'd think they wouldn't need to inflate it with wages...

Real Madrid were willing to pay €105m to sign Neymar, reports in Spain have claimed.

Documents written on Real Madrid headed notepaper have been published that appear to lay out the Madrid proposal for the Brazil forward.

Madrid reportedly offered €60m to the company owned by Neymar’s father, to be paid in four instalments of €15m, while Madrid would also pay €25m of the €40m that would be due to Barcelona if Neymar joined a club other than the Catalans. Neymar’s father wanted Madrid to pay the full amount.

Santos would have received €10m, the same amount as the investment group that owned a portion of Neymar’s economic rights, for a total outlay of €105m.

Neymar was offered €10m per season for a six-year contract, or €12m for an eight-year deal, with bonuses to follow depending on the trophies won by Madrid during Neymar’s tenure.

Neymar's transfer is one of the most complicated and convoluted transfers I can remember.

Now I understand why he didn't make the move to Europe sooner. No one wanted t obother with sorting out the details and paying all of the involved parties.

In an autobiography ‘My name is Neymar’, which will be published by Ediciones B on 26th February, Neymar explains why, as a young boy, he chose to stay with Santos and reject Real Madrid.

“I won’t sell out for money. It helps but it doesn’t rule my life.”

Neymar’s father, Neymar Sr. went on to add that the negotiations in 2006 broke down because of his son’s happiness and insists that the transfer this summer was in line and legal.

“There wasn’t enough money in Madrid that would buy the happiness of my son.

“He has not let success go to his head. He may look eccentric because of his haircuts, but inside he has a great sense of responsibility. The negotiations with Barcelona left everyone satisfied. We did things very well.”

Brazil striker Neymar has been affected by the controversy surrounding his £48.6m transfer to Barcelona from Santos, says coach Gerardo Martino.

He has scored once in 2014 ahead of Sunday's La Liga visit of Osasuna.

Sandro Rosell resigned as club president as he faces legal action for misappropriation of funds, while Barca face tax fraud charges over the deal.

"If I had to give an explanation for [his form] then I would say it is to do with that," said Martino.

Neymar was sidelined by an ankle injury for a month at the start of the year and Martino thinks that has also played a part in his lack of consistency.

There were some whistles from the Nou Camp crowd when he played in the win over Almeria two weeks ago and more from a section of the fans when he was substituted in Wednesday's Champions League win against Manchester City.

"In his best moments he has played on the left or as a centre-forward and the other day he was on the right, where I also thought he did well," said Martino.

"When a player has been out injured a month it is not easy to get back to their best form straight away. It is not like a day, or three days but a month."

Barcelona icon Johan Cruyff believes Neymar is the biggest problem at Camp Nou as a result of his extortionate salary.

The 22-year-old joined Barca from Santos ahead of the 2013-14 campaign and immediately became one of the Blaugrana's highest-paid players.

Cruyff feels the attacker has yet to prove himself at the highest level, though, and thinks his rivals up front could be unhappy with Neymar's high wages.

"Barcelona's problem is Neymar," Cruyff was quoted as saying by El Mundo Deportivo.

"He is a great player, let there be no doubt about that, but you cannot sign a 21-year-old and pay him more than players who have won it all. Nobody is god at the age of 21.

"Plus Barcelona already have the greatest player in the world [Lionel Messi] and a 21-year-old kid cannot be the key figure. This is impossible in football. At the age of 26, yes, but not at 21."

Neymar has netted seven goals in 21 La Liga appearances so far this term.
