Italy and Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio described the “real scare” the team got when their plane was hit by lightning.

The Azzurri were flying from Florence to Geneva for tomorrow night’s friendly with Brazil when the plane was struck by a bolt of lightning.

“We got a real scare today on the plane!” wrote Marchisio on his Twitter account.

“Now we are in the hotel in Geneva, tomorrow there’s a great game with Brazil.”
