Aaron Ramsey, after some good skill in the box, won a penalty and converted it against Macedonia.

Rosicky has scored for the Czech Republic.

Does the Ramsey curse apply to his goals for the NT as well?

Nice to hear Rozza scored too

Apparently Giroud has pulled out of the game against Georgia due to a possible injury.

Both Özil and Mertesacker start for Germany. Mertesacker has a new partner in Boateng, will be interesting to see how it goes.

Nothing serious about Giroud's "injury". Supposedly hurt himself in training and pulled out just to be careful.

Now I'm seeing that he got a cut on his ankle (Evra was apparently responsible), which has been assessed and won't prevent from him starting.

So he starts the game.

Sorry about all this misinformation. The story keeps changing every couple of minutes.

I'll be lame and address my own question - I dl'ed the match and am looking at it now. Campbell indeed looks really sharp in this match. He can dribble, moves well, can aim to run off the last defender, shows good incisive passing in the final third. I know it's looked a little bleak for his Arsenal future given how he was loaned out to Olympiakos this season despite getting his WP finally (or am I misremembering?), but hopefully he can keep developing like the versatile attacking player he's been at Betis and for CR.

Didn't catch this before, but one final thing on Joel Campbell for Costa Rica - look at 5:40, a horrible bit of play-acting from JC.
