Not a very subtle reverse jinx there.

Re: Manchester United vs Real Madrid discussion
It will be a tight match, if Real scores first it would be ugly for United, they'd have to come out in search of a goal, and Madrid would murder them on the counter, if United scores first or the match remains goalless in the second half, United would have the advantage.

Seeing as I've predicted the last 2 madrid games correctly (1-3 , and 2-1), I say;
United 2 - Real 1

Re: Manchester United vs Real Madrid discussion
I think United will sit back for the majority of the match and look to counter. Smaller teams have done that against Madrid successfully this season so I don't see why United won't. They have got an away goal which means Madrid will have to attack at some point. Obviously an early goal from Madrid will change everything.

Yes, absolutely. Right on the money with that prediction.

United will sit back and play on the counter. Fergie will again outsmart Mou.

Hopefully Mou learned from the previous game, and counter it..The Sanchez wrote:United will sit back and play on the counter. Fergie will again outsmart Mou.

Spanish invasion has started. I'm seeing a lot of Madrid fans here in Manchester already.

Hopefully we don't play possession.
Let Man Utd have the ball and press them and counter-them.

It's a double edged sword, they are not Barcelona, if you give them a lot of possession they'll eventually score against you, they have quality players that can hurt you at any moment.
Best way is to attack them from the first minute until we score a goal then we can sitback.

Couldn't get tickets in time unfortunately. I'll go to the hotel the team is staying at though in hopes of a few pictures
I already got to experience Madrid in Manchester this season so I'm not too bummed

Thing is even If United score one goal, all we'll need would still be 1 goal to have the match in balance. I like our chances.

Re: Manchester United vs Real Madrid discussion
United showed they have a tight defence in the Bernabeu and can still score. It's tougher than yall think and we definitely need to play a perfect game to win.
What makes me worried is both Higuain and Benz are in their worst form right now

Have a feeling those missed chances in the first will haunt us. RVP really should have had a couple.

Re: Manchester United vs Real Madrid discussion
such a valid point, The Sanchez had to double post it....The Sanchez wrote:Three days after El Clasico. They gotta rest alot of players because all Clasicos are tiring physically, mentally and probably emotionally.
Lopez may start but your certain starters like Alonso, Ramos, Arbeloa, Ronaldo etc. shouldnt start and if they do then come off after a time. This second leg is SO IMPORTANT for Madrid. Only trophy they are really fighting to win for!
If they lose, Mou to go rather soon...

Re: Manchester United vs Real Madrid discussion
Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed Phil Jones has lost his battle to be fit for Tuesday night's Champions League clash with Real Madrid.
Jones injured his ankle in the FA Cup win over Reading a fortnight ago and has not recovered sufficiently to face Madrid in the last 16 second-leg clash at Old Trafford.
When asked about the England international, Ferguson said: "He's not fit. He won't be fit for tomorrow."

Re: Manchester United vs Real Madrid discussion
Big blow I think, the way he can cover ground in midfield was a big key last game.
Seems like they have no luck with centermidfielders in terms of injuries, him, Fletcher in other years missing games and also Anderson.
