Ronaldo back to his old self today? MAny big occasions in the CL he just flops and tries too hard. ITs evident again by his way off freekick and shots, his reactions...thats his real weakness, his temperament. Just an honest opinion Smile

Worst game I have ever seen Ronaldo play. Invisible, it was almost like Madrid were playing with 10 men. Couldn't pass, couldn't dribble (not like he can anyway, waste of space. Did he even complete a pass today?

Friend, my case for Ronaldo is painfully obvious- When Ronaldo broke all of the goal scoring records, they said it didn't count, it was about team trophies. Then when messi did the same and Ronaldo won the trophies, all of a sudden it was about individual records, and not team trophies.

Do you understand that? That's not trolling. I expect the award criteria to be consistent but it isn't, hence its lost credibility.

It was clear ronaldo was hampered by an injury. If you disagree then you have never played football because clearly he wasn't 100%.
I don't see this bs in the messi thread. Not at all.

And it is a TEAM GAME. why do people always have to refer to ronaldo flopping, or some ruining the system bs? Or some crap about ronaldo being a shit dribbler (GL is hilarious sometimes). I have never, ever seen a player as hated as him. Maybe its because his name is ronaldo, and you guys are scared he is overtaking the Brazilian ronaldo statistically.

You can't really compare the trophies Messi won in 2011 (Champions League, European Supercup, Club World Championship AND La Liga) with the trophies won by Ronaldo in 2012 (just La Liga). However, I agree with the fact that the criteria should be the same each and every year. Nevertheless, considering the fact that it is a trophy given by players, coaches and journalists, it is a subjective trophy (like every individual trophy).

We're derailing the thread a little so I'll stop here. Only wanted to remind you that there have always been discussions around the Ballon d'Or winners (Shevchenko, who only won Serie A in 2004, won it over Deco who won the champions league and went with Portugal to the EURO final that year).

As for last night, CR7 had a bad game by his standards. Period. I don't care if he was not 100 % (maybe he should have played less if he wasn't 100 %), I am just saying what I saw and statistics back me up on this. He also wasn't helped by the fact that he had a Polish wall in front of him (Pisczek+Kuba, who both played great in defense). Very Happy
