Without a doubt, the best TV series I've ever watched.

Anything Aiden Gillen is in is boss. (although his arc doesnt come till later seasons iirc)

GOAT show. Omar :king:

First season is amazing and it starts getting even better around ep 5 or 6.

Even the 2nd season which is a little different, with the Frank Sabotka/docks storyline is great too(although it's the "worst" of the 5 seasons imo, it's still quality).

Agree and I was going to add to my post that season 2 is the worst, but I didn't want to be negative.

I watched the first 5 eps of season 1. Rubbish show for me. Couldn't get into it at all.

Maybe it got better after that but I just didn't give two shites about it at that point. Awefully slow and very boring. And every episode is like an hour long.

Its not the best TV show ever or anything like that IMO at least but it is one of the best in its time frame.....

Also i can see where Messiah is coming from because the first season was pretty meh compared to the rest but once you get into it then its pretty f*cking great.

Really the only show that people have been hyping that I don't see why. Like I said maybe it got better after the first 5 episodes. And I am a huge fan of the crime gangster type genre, but I found this very dull.

The Wire is the greatest show ever. If it's not, what is? The Sopranos has an argument but I think The Wire is better.

Also the first season is a top 3 season. 4, 3, 1 imo.

For me Firefly, Lost, Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad are all comfortably better than the Wire. It doesn't fit into my top 100 Laughing
