AIAC President Renzo Ulivieri has claimed that Clarence Seedorf does not have the necessary documentation to coach Milan.

The former Netherlands has been heavily reported as Massimiliano Allegri's potential successor at San Siro.

But the Associazione Italiana Allenatori Calcio [Italian Football Managers' Association] chief has insisted that the 37-year-old won't be allowed to take charge of the Rossoneri.

“Seedorf can't coach in Serie A,” he told Rai Sport. “The license that he's taking with the Dutch FA doesn't have any value in Italy.

“Seedorf can only be an assistant coach in Italy with the current license that he's taking with the Dutch FA.”

Seedorf's agent also said the club didn't make any official offer and besides he still has a contract with Botafogo. If there was any truth to be taken out from the reports with regards to Seedorf , the only pattern i see as a possibility , would be Seedorf becoming an assistant coach with Rijkaard as Allegri's replacement.

Yet , even this scenario seems strange since Seedorf is still a player lol and Frank hasn't exactly been a strong candidate for the Milan job since ages. I must admit though , some day i'd like to watch them coach Milan . Some day . Moving on , maybe , just making a theory here , all of this is Allegri's doing after all. What do i mean .

Allegri was promised players last summer and instead he lost his two best players , amongst many other veterans who formed the spine of the team . Whilst i am sure he knew about some veterans departing the team , it was very obvious he didn't have a clue about Silva and Ibra , all he kept saying was that they will stay , because that was what he was told as de facto situation about them.

Despite being mistreated like that , he decided to stay and build things aright again. After a season which seemed doomed before it even begun , he against all odds succeeds and leads Milan to CL qualification. Now , having proved his worth in many situations , it's very probable he made one serious mistake , he actualy demanded certain things to continue his work with Milan lol. Leonardo did the same and Berlusconi kicked his ass right away lol , he was a nobody in the coaching world whilst that cannot be said about Allegri this time. Almost everybody recognise him , even in Europe. He cannot just kick him away like that , even if he wants it badly.

That he hasn't rejected rumours in the slightest already speaks volumes about his intentions , yet the case here has been prolonged, no doubt because of Galliani , and the longer it takes him , the worst the situation will be for the club mostly . This is what he said :

“I think we will meet with Galliani and the Coach probably by Sunday night and from there a solution will emerge that is not difficult to find if everyone puts themselves in the right direction, looks to their conscience and tries to choose what is best for our Milan.”

One can draw many conclusions from such a dubious comment , both positive and negative , depends on which side are you on. I think he faults him for certain things, he complained a few times throughout the season about Allegri and if Allegri really wants guarantees to stay on , he means to fire him alright . Then there's Galliani who basicaly is the head of the club since years now. Berlusconi still gets to say the final word , but many important things concerning Milan are down to Galliani . Now the Curva Sud also made their support to Max well known and the players did as well.

My personal theory about the whole situation right now would be this.

Obstacle #1.Berlusconi doesn't want Milan to spend for the players Allegri wants , he probably conceders the financial wealth of Milan as top priority , hence the "what is best for our Milan".

Obstacle #2. He already has sights on who is going to replace him , that was clearly obvious when he openly admitted interest in Guardiola during the season, which was yet another disgrace towards Allegri. But he met the minimum objective of the season and won the fans , so he finds himself in a difficult position if he fires him now. However , if Allegri has asked for an extention , that would be too much for Berlusconi , hence the " a solution will emerge that is not difficult to find if everyone puts themselves in the right direction" , meaning a take it or leave it approach.

To conclude my thoughts , what he said there could indicate that he would be willing to allow him to see his contract , but under previously agreed terms only. Allegri wants to stay at Milan alright and in this scenario , i believe he has to concede at everything Berlusconi wants if he wants another season at Milan. 2nd scenario could be that , even we take us a given Max actualy stays another season , Berlusconi will surely look to be his last for reasons i already explained and there's our case alright, Allegri most probably doesn't want to continue without any guarantees of keeping his job , of course given he does what he's paid for.

When the next meeting happens , Allegri either concedes in many aspects and keeps his job otherwise Berlusconi will sack him. He isn't going to negotiate really ; he's going to plan the next season with Galliani , with or without Allegri.


We'll find out soon what was the case . Just whatever happens , should be for the best of the club and nothing less will suffice here.

Fantastic post Dante, i agree with most of your points. This just points out that Seedorf may not be ready for coaching a big team like Milan.

What disgusts me is how we're treating Allegri in all of this, the fact that Berlu steers the ship whichever way he likes bugs me. What im trying to say is, most likely Allegri is gonna get fired. Berlu will bring a coach to sign him, and in the end he's gonna give the new coach the backup he needs. A few signings here and there to shut us up, and lets not forget that we have to "thank" our wonderful president for these "marvelous gifts"

Agreed. He's the president of the club though. It's down to him in the end and sadly we can only raise our concerns , nothing more. Let's hope he changes his mind . Common sense dictates that Allegri should stay alright though Berlusconi didn't get where he is today by common sense..

I am grateful for all the succeess we had under Berlusconi but there have been cases involving him that were just irritating and disgraceful against us . He clearly isn't the president he was when he took Milan. He knows better than anyone that without serious investment , both on financial and right personel terms , we won't succeed and yet , he doesn't allow Milan to spend and wants to rid us from Allegri , who only thinks Milan is the #1 step in his managerial career.

Massimiliano Allegri, President Silvio Berlusconi and Vice-President Adriano Galliani are gathering for decisive Milan talks tonight.

The saga over whether Allegri will remain as Coach for next season should be resolved this evening, particularly as the head of PR and official photographer have also been spotted entering the Arcore residence.

Their presence would suggest an announcement – perhaps even a contract renewal – will be forthcoming today.

Berlusconi and Galliani arrived an hour earlier than Allegri, so had some negotiations without the tactician.

It is reported Allegri will request reinforcements for the squad, including a centre-back, two midfielders and someone for the right wing.

Roma are not prepared to wait any longer for the Coach to give a response to their three-year contract offer.

ok dante i have read ur previous reply. it was long but i feel ya. i still dont agree the idea of having allegri for long term. but after long hard thinking... i am ready to accept the idea of giving allegri another chance in milan.

idea of having seedorf back is great but not as coach.. i still strongly believe that under allegri milan play more physical game than technical. all i care is that milan needs more talent and technical players in midfield, because in order to win champions league thats what we should have, and l dont think allegri would do that. but anyway i am willing to see what allegri's got for next year.

Allegri has been given a project, I expect he will keep it. Reports are saying he has renewed to 2015.

Berlusconi did say something along the lines of "we came to an agreement on how the team will play next season".

AC Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri will remain in charge at San Siro after holding crunch-talks with club president Silvio Berlusconi and CEO Adriano Galliani.

Allegri's long-term future at the club had been thrown into some doubt in recent weeks after the 45-year-old narrowly secured Champions League qualification on the last day of the season, with rivals Roma reportedly ready to swoop for the coach had he parted company with the Italian giants.

However, he finally sat down with the club's hierarchy after a number of postponed arrangements and together Galliani and Berlusconi decided to retain his services.

"With Galliani and Allegri we had a frank and cordial discussion in which we revisited and analysed the past season, so there was a clarification on certain things," said Berlusconi.

"We reached an agreement on the rights and duties of the club towards the coach and the coach towards the club.

"We also talked about the type of football that Milan must play and the squad for next season, setting out guidelines for the transfer window.

"The rapport with the coach, which has never been interrupted, continues with faith and in absolute reciprocal respect."

Allegri took the reins at San Siro in 2010 and guided Milan to the Scudetto in his first season.
