Alba starts every game he is available, he has been great. He is also twice the defender Marcelo is easily.

Both are as bad as each other at defending

Even if that was the case, Marcelo is still better attacker than him so he is the better player

marcelo wins GOAT da gawd op best lb 2013

Agree with that. Marcelo was pretty good in the title winning season

I'm not a big Serie A fan but Pirlo not being there says it all for me, what a joke almost as bad as when Sneijder didn't even make the final 3.

Once again, People worldwide picked this team. The reason La Liga players are in there is because Spain won the euros and people remember that. And the fact Barcelona-Madrid are one of the two most watched teams in the world and their fanbase is extremely huge.

Iker - Guy is being benched for a scrub ATM. Says it all.

Alves - rofl

Ramos - not even the best CB at his club

Piqué - rofl

Marcelo - I'd give it to Cole for his CL campaign. Marcelo has barely played this year.

Alonso - rofl ahead of Pirlo?

Xavi - GOAT Spanish footballer

Iniesta - Been amazing in La Liga this season and had an above average Euros.

Messi - GOAT

Ronaldo - 171 in 171

Falcao - Better than RVP or IBra this year? No chance.

Chiellini is one and Ramos partner Pepe is another..... right there rules out any validity of Ramos.

Also Kompany may have been meh this season but this award is based on last season and Kompany was better.

Ramos has been diabolical this season if you want to base this seasons performances.

Barzagli was oustanding in 2012 and Hummels apart from one game was also.

I really don't see a case for him, i understand people who want to make a case for Marcelo but not for Ramos.

"Excellent" was Zidane in Euro 00.

Pirlo had a more impressive campaign in my opinion.

Ridiculous argument? How did Messi win his very first Ballon d'Or over Ronaldo? Messi won the CL that year.

And Messi didn't have to win ANYTHING(even though he won Copa Del Rey, anyway). His record sealed it for him.

No need to take these World XIs seriously.

Most of us here could come up with a far more legitimate team in a matter of minutes. :coffee:
