Chelsea complete Demba Ba signing
http://www.chelseafc.com/news-article/article/3030470/title/ba-transfer-completed
Fee reported to be about £7.5million as per the release clause(surprised there's no thread on this yet btw).
He's scored 13 goals in the league to date for Newcastle. How well do you think he'll perform at Chelsea? Especially playing in front of Mata, Hazard, Oscar & co?
Personally, I'm just happy we finally have someone that can score zll the numerous chances Torres wastes or at least half of them and also pull out the occasional magic out of the hat.
Opinions?

Re: Chelsea complete Demba Ba signing
Great signing. Has everything which Torres lacks and even though i hope he flops, i think it's probably the best signing Chelsea have made upfront since Drogba/Anelka

Playing behind?Do you mean playing in front?
Well,I expect Hazard,Oscar and Mata to raise their assist count in 100%

Shite footballer but he will put away the chances Torres can't.
Solid signing, nothing thread-worthy really though.

Mata has almost 20 assists already. I think he could have had somewhere around 25 already if he had been playing with Ba all season

Haven't read or seen anything wrong he's said. He never said anything bad about Newcastle. Why the bitterness?Great Leader Sprucenuce wrote:Considering what he's said since leaving i don't care no more.

Great signing, but I wonder, is he what Chelsea was missing so far this season?

He has though i was fine with it all until he did.....
What he said was akin to your bird leaving you for some flash c***, then said bird parading around and forgetting you were even alive.
He's a great striker though, underrated i feel and should do well but i don't wish him anything but bad.

Was he supposed to be paying homeage to Newcastle while talking to Chelsea TV?
Believe me, he didn't even come anywhere close to Sturridge's interview on Liverpool TV which was almost taking shots at Chelsea. You're just looking for a reason to hate him, Mole

Re: Chelsea complete Demba Ba signing
If you're talking about a striker who can convert chances, doesn't miss every one-on-one opportunity with the GK and doesn't get bullied 90% of the time by poor defenders like Clint Hill? Yes he's what we're missing.bandoom wrote:Great signing, but I wonder, is he what Chelsea was missing so far this season?

Torres and Ba probably wont start together. At least they shouldn't since they are the only 2 strikers chelsea have.

Re: Chelsea complete Demba Ba signing
His quotes not just on Chelsea TV but everywhere since he was leaving have been nothing but disrespectful.....
I'm not looking for a reason to hate him, i have said a few times on here if he left it would be a blessing in disguise because we can play 4-3-3 again and Papiss can back to doing what he does best.
But his comments and not just on Chelsea TV have been nothing but disrespectful to say the least.
Looking back at all his quotes in last 18 months and his intentions all become clear.
I'm sure he will do well but the things he has said has left a bad taste in my mouth.

Re: Chelsea complete Demba Ba signing
He couldn't stop banging on about how Liverpool was such a "humoungous", "massive", "huge, huge", "humoungous", "massive", "humoungous", "big", "full of history" club. Oh and did I mention he also said how Liverpool were a "humoungous" club?RealGunner wrote:What did Sturridge say lol ?

As a matter of fact, I can point out a point where he gave Newcastle some credit(albeit indirectly).

Similar to what Sturridge said actually and kept going on about how he's " made it"
"Yes I've done it" "This club is at another level - it isn't West Ham or Newcastle." "They are both clubs with a strong history, but Chelsea is Chelsea and you cannot compare." "Yesterday, I was looking back and smiling to myself, saying, 'Yes, I've done it'.
The irony of course being Chelsea before Abra came along was no bigger than West Ham or Newcastle....
But yeah i'm suppose to be happy with these disrespectful comments.
