It really will be down to defenses. From what ive seen, both these teams lwt goals in but rely on simply outscoring their opposition be ause of their firepower. Its safe to say they have pretty equal firepower (imo madrid has a slight edge but thats a whole nother debate). So itll come down to which defense performs better.

not are fault are success gives us the privileged of being in the first pot of strong teams in the Champions league group draw. we won are group, then played kids in the final 2 games to focus on are league, because we are top of that as well.

only teams who are leading there leagues and win the groups, to me those are the strongest teams, the ones that find balance. then madrid who are 3rd in there league and can just focus on CL, but then finish 2nd in the group, tell me whose form is worse?

Barcelona obviously have had incredible amount of "success" in recent years and they have been paired against tough teams before.

Bayern have been relatively "successful" in the Champions League too and they've had some difficult draws over the years.

Chelsea the Champions of Europe got drawn in a tough group too this year.

As a matter of fact look at Manu's groups since the last 9-10 years or so.

Hardly any intimidating groups out there.

But that is not the actual discussion in hand.Point is i wouldnt base off United's form taking your CL performances into aspect,had Madrid been awarded the same group they would've won the group easily with 2 games to spare just like you did even with their woeful form.

As for the league you have looked unconvincing for many games but still managing to grind out results which has put you on the top temporarily ,also other teams around you have been pretty bad as well..So yes in terms of results you are doing well,but not yet convinced.

With all the power horse with the odds on Madrid to win the two legs, I'm going for Man United. On paper, Madrid are the better team though I can sense an upset. This meaning, Rooney and RVP to be relied on.

balance between league success and champions league success is what i was saying

Enormous pressure on Madrid in this game..Definitely far more than United..

If United lose ,they'll still win the league and you and can call the season a success.

If Madrid lose,i think this will all but signal the end of the 'Moudrid Era'.

As a Juventus fan i would personally like to see United go through.Not saying i really fancy my team's CL chances but one strong CL contender already out by the round of 16 would surely help.Besides ,i dream of a Juve-Man United matchup this year..Remains to be seen if that dream comes true.
