Madrid struggle against possession heavy and good midfield sides... Man U is not a midfield driven team.

Rafael has about as much chance as my grandmother to stop CR7 and Marcelo on his side. That's going to force Valencia to stay back a lot.

The key for Man U is how effective RVP and Rooney are going to be against the foursome of Pepe, Ramos, Khedira and Alonso.

Matchup is good for Madrid. As far as the elite teams go, best one we could get.

Can't see us going through though. Only part of the pitch that I can honestly say we are on par/almost on par to MAdrid is our frontline and that's about it. Other than that, we also hold the disadvantage in terms of formation. We all know how our 4-4-2 let us down against Spanish 4-3-3/4-2-3-1 sides.

Anyway, this is going to be a brilliant encounter!!

Am I the only one who thinks that Madrid will go through easily? At every position Madrid have 2 players that are better than the respective ManU players. I mean, Kaka would be the best player on the ManU side and is maybe third string at Madrid. I'm no Madrid supporter, but that's how I see it.

Well the good news is that the Marcelo will be back and fit by then. That only leaves the issue of new RB, and maybe a cover signing for Di maria. I dont see Callejon as a great replacement for anyone concerning wing play.
