Just provided an example based on the seedings which rwo posted above.

I picture one group playing in one country and something along those lines.Doesnt necessarily have to be Spain playing in Spain ,it could be Spain playing in Denmark for instance too and the remaining teams of the group playing in Denmark as well which is not too bad.

Hard to believe they are actualy doing this to the Euros . When is the next UEFA elections ? Anybody knows.. could this change before 2020 ?

Well, the stuff I posted was proposed a couple weeks ago when the first notions of a Distributed Euro (tm) was published. Hopefully some people already told Platini it wasn't so sensible to give the top seeds such an advantage. (And yeah, the idea was to play a group in one country, and that top seed in their own country idea was to placate the FAs of the major footballing powers, it seems. To me it sucks (foot)balls )

The only way this idea would work is if they make clusters of cities close to each other for each of the 6 groups, so travelling for the fans and teams will be easy.

Group 1: London, Dublin, Cardiff, Glasgow
Group 2: Lisbon, Madrid, Barcelona, Monaco
Group 3: Stockholm, Copenhagen, Hamburg, Oslo
Group 4: Budapest, Vienna, Zagreb, Prague
Group 5: Paris, Dortmund, Amsterdam, Brussels
Group 6: Munich, Zurich, Milan, Rome

I firstly think the idea is bad.

Secondly I don't think it's that much of a logistical problem, for the most part it'd still mean less travel than the World Cup did in South Africa or Brazil, or if it was held in Russia, China, the US of A or any other stupidly large country.

In geographic terms, Europe isn't that big.

The best argument against it, is the missed chance for countries to show off their tourist-friendly side, like how Germanys reputation dramatically increased after 2008.

So because there is no host, no team will automatically qualify, correct? I really liked rooting for the host team if they weren't playing Germany.

Guys its not that bad of an idea when you consider the humongous costs the hosts have to do. This way a game could be played in Wembley, another in the Bernabeu, another at Parc des Princes and really all those cities have first world transportation, hotels and stadiums.

Costs will be low and no one has to spend billions on stuff they will hardly use ever again, like Poland and Ukraine.

P.S. Remember Europe is a big financial crisis, now might not be the best time to spend billions on a huge party.

The culture promotion of a country is just bullshit to be honest. No one cared about south African culture during world cup aside of hating the vuvuzelas.
