Re: Chelsea sack RDM
Harry Redknapp has given an exclusive interview at his parked car outside a Burger King regarding RDM's sacking, and whether he'd step up if listed.
Triffic club, would love to coach em. Like ezard.

Benitez to come in, and add another world club championship to his CV.

Di Matteo is a club legend and to be treated this way after winning the first Champions League ever for the club is pretty disgraceful.
I feel sorry for the guy.

Re: Chelsea sack RDM
as i think about this more i realise that the game was played at night in Turin, which means the players and staff would've spent the night in Italy before flying back to London the next day. But Robbie got sacked ~12hrs after the Juve game finished which means there a decent chance RDM wasnt given the respect of being sacked in person
only if he can bring Cardozo with him

Re: Chelsea sack RDM
Typical Roman Abramovich. Cold and utterly ruthless as always.
This stinks of kneejerk though. This is still a Chelsea side in relatively good shape physically, but just going through poor form. Last thing that should be done is take away the coach that got them to where they are.
Citeh have to be favorites to win this weekend now.
Oh and I think Steve Clarke should be at the top of their list.

Re: Chelsea sack RDM
Hey the guy pays the bills he can do whatever the fck he wants and Chelsea fans/staff are just going to have to live with it.
Having said that I don't think this is a good decision. RDM was doing decently enough all things considered.
As for the new guy Benitez would be interesting

Re: Chelsea sack RDM
I feel somewhat sorry for Di Matteo, one thing for sure he did not deserve it.
But I may be the only one, but I dont think it s the wrong decision long term.
He isnt good enough tactically and he seems totally incapable of playing offensive football without producing a disaster in defence.
Again, he didnt deserve it but I dont think its the wrong decision.

No you are right, he was never going to be the long term solution, hence the really long process of us naming a manager and only giving him a two year deal.
You always knew that Roman never really wanted him to lead the future, but only as a stop gap but its a shame he was treated in such a manner.
I push 95% of the blame to Torres, with his bullshit rant at the end of last season. That guy is dead to me now, 175k a week to stand around and not even give 50% of his efforts.
